Goodybest's Diary: Sunday 7th July 2024 - A Day of Reflection and Relaxation

Dear Diary,

Sunday, July 7, 2024, was a truly blessed day. I woke up healthy and strong and I started the morning with a heart full of gratitude, I was grateful for so many things in my life, a good and loving life partner, amazing kids, a lovely family, and the Steemit platform, yes I'm always grateful for Steemit and all the support I'm receiving, I cannot take this for granted.

I attended our Christian meeting by 11:30 AM where we worshiped God and praised him for His loyal love and sufficient grace. The public Discourse was inspiring, and we sang praises in a harmonious voice Which lifted my spirits at the end of the meeting. I felt rejuvenated and ready to face this week.

Less I forget I prepared delicious rice and stew which we enjoyed together before leaving for our Christian meeting.

After our uplifting meeting we exchanged pleasantries and then we decided to drop one of our old Christian brothers in his house. We always help him this way and he was so grateful, he blessed us. Eliany's daughter baby Darauwem followed us, she's my princess bestie, so we decided to give her a little treat by taking to to Crunchies.

We bought Ice 🍦 chicken pie, and chin chin for them, we didn't take it there but while in the car, I really enjoyed the chinchin, it was nice, on our way to my building site I called Eliany to come and get her daughter, and her goodies, she was so grateful. From there we drove down to our building site.

What we did next in our building after the roofing was fixing wiring pipes, plumbing AC, and Solar pipes too. The electrician started the work the previous day, so we went to see things for ourselves and everything was successful and work was in progress.

As I walked through the site, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that this was a dream come true. The next thing now will be plastering of the walls both outside and inside. The weather was gloomy all of a sudden so we rushed to leave since we didn't carry an umbrella, but before then I took a moment to pray over the site, asking God to bless our home and all who will enter it.

It was raining heavily on our way back, when we reached home I prepared dinner for us, yes it was 4:30 PM already and we were famished. We enjoyed garri and Banga soup as a family, then I spent the rest of the evening enjoying with my young ones, helping them with their remaining homework, then showering them and putting them to sleep so that they would wake early for school the next day.

I sat down with hubby in the sitting room, discussing so many things concerning our new building, the kind of protectors, windows, and doors we will be using, because that will be our next agenda after plastering. We talked about our goals and aspirations too, supporting and encouraging one another, we reflected on the blessings in our life, our family, our faith, and the opportunity to build a new home for ourselves. We were simply grateful for everything and at the end we prayed together, thanking the Almighty God for all his blessings on our lives, before retiring for the day.

I know that with God's guidance and special grace, our future is bright, and our new home will be a place of joy, love, and peace.
