Goodybest's Diary Thursday 5th July 2024: Sicky Day/Signing up a Newbie

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was not really nice, I didn't start on the right foot. I woke up feeling rather unwell, having aching muscles with a throbbing headache, I mustered up the courage to get up from bed, drank paracetamol, and prepared both breakfast and lunch for my kids to take to school, I made a post, signed up a newbie and went to the market later in the evening.

I woke up early sicky, I drank paracetamol and then prepared jellof rice for breakfast, my husband bathed the kids and they took tea and bread for breakfast while they carried the jellof rice for lunch. When the kids left for school I showered and took a rest. You know we've been alerted beforehand about the malaria outbreak in Nigeria, so we all started to take anti-malaria drugs I took my last dose yesterday. when I got up I shared my Sunday diary in Steem4Nigeria, worked in the Newcomers' community too, and prepared lunch for my daughter, doing these distracted me from the pain.

However, it wasn't long before I got a call from my husband, reminding me that it was time to pick the kids up from school. Being a mother of three energetic kids, picking them up from school is always a joyous moment. As I arrived at the school, I called Jahofon to come down, his class was upstairs, and I asked the security to please call Fortune for me. They were so happy to see me and were running towards me with big smiles on their faces. They were thrilled to see me, and that made me forget about my ill health, immediately. Our house is not far from their school so we were trekking back home.

Once we arrived home, I showered my kids and settled them into their homework and I got a call from my friend's husband he told me that he wanted to come to my house so that I could help him sign up on Steemit. Yup 👍 I told him to come around. When he reached my house I guided him to sign up, joined communities, and set up his profile.

He even wrote his introduction post but how sad his phone went off when he was about to post It, None of the chargers in my house could fit his phone, ours are type C chargers. Well, his phone is still off till now and when I called his wife, she said he would find a place to charge the phone tonight and publish the post.

Later in the evening I went to the market to shopped some groceries, it was 6:45 Pm, I picked fresh fish for dinner, and some vegetables too, I didn't spend much time at the market and I came back to prepare the fish. I was still sick, but I knew we couldn't do without food. I called hubby to buy an antibiotic for me when coming back from office. My kids were watching cartoon in the sitting room, while I prepared soup in the kitchen.

My husband came back around 8:00 P.M and dinner was served in no time. I couldn't eat so I drank my drugs (Ciprotab) and Vitamilk.

I retired for the day early, It was an eventful day, despite my health concerns, and I'm grateful for my family and the little moments that make life worth living.
