Dear Steemit Family

Hiw are you All? Hope everyone doing well and enjoying their day's with family and friends. I am here to participate the beautiful contest organized by brother @damithudaya this topic is very near toy heart because it's the very famous topic as you Chek the Title.

Dr. Israr Ahmed: A Scholar Who Inspires Me

A noted Islamic scholar of the twentieth century, Dr. Israr Ahmed, is a spiritual guide for me. The outstanding knowledge of the Qur’an – which he shared to millions including myself, his purity of the intention to spread its message and visions of the revival of Islam is something that remains in me forever. The combination of complexity and accessibility makes him the person that I look up to in my life.

Journey of Dedication

Dr. Israr Ahmed was born in 1932 at Haryana – India and was a medical doctor by profession, passed out from King Edward Medical University Lahore. However, passion was with a different side, he left a high profile job and decided to spend for the rest of his life to bring the message of Islam in the form of Qur’an. Just this decision reveals his selfishless and his firm line of duty to the Ummah which qualities I admire most.

Himself, he thought that understanding the Qur’an was the solution to individuals’ and society’s change. His passage from medicine to scholarship is very encouraging to anyone who wants to have it in mind that when one is focused on what he deemed right for him, ordination makes him/her to have a noble purposeful fulfilled life.

The Role of Man in His Work

Where Dr. Israr hugely differs is in the manner he communicates with people. Besides being academic, his lectures and writings were passionately subjective and even applicable to the daily life. He taught people comprehensible meanings of the Qur’an to the point of dazzling scholars and ordinary Muslims. During a time when there is division in the church, his words and voice were free from pretense and achievable for all.

This he often referred to as revolution and as a book of revolution highlighting the fact that the book is full of revolution. He enlighten me about spiritual aspect like tazkiyah which made me think about my own spiritual paths and pen onward to become better.

A Visionary Leader

His vision for himself and the community was not just the improvement of the religious facet of the people. He fully supported the integration of Islamic rule in the settlement as well as in the society. By means of his own organization, Tanzeem-e-Islami, he aimed at shaping disciplined Islamic movement based on Qur’an.

Among the ideas that seem to be most inspiring is the one, which underlines the need for personal transformation to precede transformation of society as a whole. He often quoted the Qur'anic verse:
"Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves" (13:11).
This philosophy makes me responsible for my own spiritual development while at the same time makes me socially responsible.

Personal Impact

I have personally learned a lot regarding Islam from Dr. Israr Ahmed. His tafsir lectures that are presented with love and intellectualism have assisted me in developing meaningful relation with the Qur’an lofty. His desire for a balanced life depending on the teachings of the Qur’an helps inspire me to work for spiritual growth as well as other facets of life.

As much as he was unafraid to speak truth to the power, which was rather unfriendly at that time, the resilience part made me realize the strength of principled bargaining. In a world where people had to look away for that little extra to be gained, he remained true to his guidance of Islamic principles for me.

A Timeless Legacy

Nonetheless, it would be relevant to continue the work of Dr. Israr Ahmed, who died in 2010. Today Muslims all over the world read his lectures, books, as well as the exegesises on the Qur’an. To me, he is the one who served as an example of what can be changed by the holy book and how people should lead their lives according to the Qur’an.

He shows that successful life is the one full of wealth left behind to the people we leave behind. Dr. I respect most the scholar who is seriously involved in the confrontation with the message of Islam with honesty and simplicity – Israr Ahmed.

This is my entry about this Great scholar. According to the rule's if contest i invite some of my friends to participate in this and don't forget to leave a beautiful under my blog's.
