The Diary game. From Hills to Home: A Day of Service, Struggles, and Solace

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE29 days ago

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

My day started today with the sound of the Azan (call to prayer). As soon as I heard it, I quickly got up and performed ablution in preparation for prayer. Then I headed straight to the mosque, which is located near my house and serves our neighborhood. The people from our area gather here for prayers.

When I arrived for prayer, the congregation had already gathered, and the prayer was about to begin. After completing the prayer, I made supplications for myself, my dear friends, and my relatives.

Afterward, I returned home. These days, the cold is quite severe, so one doesn’t feel like going out unnecessarily. However, I have cultivated a habit that makes my day incomplete without a morning walk. Morning walks are an essential part of my life; they keep me happy and make my body active and agile.
Through this routine, I am better able to manage challenges, and it also helps to lighten my mind. Morning walks hold a unique importance in my life.

After completing my office work today, I had to head to a village where I needed to verify some new units. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the government provides financial assistance of ₹12,000 for the construction of a household latrine. My task for today was to verify this assistance.

A list had arrived from the district’s water department, which included the names of certain households from the village where I am currently posted. I was instructed to submit the report on these households within a few days. Considering the possibility of rain or snowfall in the coming days, which could make the verification process and report preparation very difficult, I decided to proceed with it today itself.

This way, the beneficiaries could receive the assistance directly into their accounts without any delay. I set out today to ensure that I could submit the report promptly.

I visited all the households whose names were included in the list and conducted a physical verification of their latrines. I inspected their units and checked where the waste was being disposed of.

The government has taken a commendable initiative to make the entire country open defecation-free. By providing a benefit of ₹12,000 to underprivileged people, the government not only assists them but also significantly contributes to achieving the primary goal of this scheme.
It is truly fulfilling to see how this initiative is helping people, and I feel fortunate to be a part of this effort.

I was very exhausted today because the village I visited is in a hilly area, requiring a lot of walking. To move from one house to another, I had to take footpaths, which made the task physically demanding. It was a tiring job, but thankfully, I managed to complete it successfully.

Afterward, I returned home in the evening. Feeling drained, I lay down for a while in the living room to relieve my fatigue. That brief rest helped, and I followed it up with a cup of tea. Afterward, I took a short nap to recover further.

In the evening, I went to the market to meet my friends and picked up a few things while there. At dinnertime, I ate and spent a little while studying before finally going to bed around 11:30 PM.

It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
