The diary game, 05-07-2024 || My day at the baccalaureate correction center: remedial session
Hello steemians,
Today, I'm taking you behind the scenes of the baccalaureate catch-up session, a marathon day which started at 8 a.m. and ended around 6 p.m. This crucial moment for students who did not pass the main session is also a challenge for us, the markers, committed to guaranteeing a fair and careful assessment.
8:00 - Start of the day
When I arrived at the correction center, the atmosphere was both serious and studious. The markers gathered for an initial briefing. The objective was clear: to ensure rapid but rigorous correction. After receiving final instructions, we each took our seats, armed with red pens and stacks of exam papers.
9:00 - Correction in progress
The first hours were intense. The copies piled up in front of us, each corrector focused on their tasks. The silence was broken only by the sound of turning pages and sighs of concentration. The complexity of the questions and the diversity of the answers required special attention for each copy.
12:00 - Lunch break
Around noon, we took a well-deserved break. This moment of relaxation allowed us to recharge our batteries and discuss the challenges encountered among colleagues. These exchanges are often very enriching and help maintain the team cohesion necessary to continue work in the afternoon.
1:00 p.m. - Resumption of corrections
The recovery after lunch was a little more difficult, fatigue starting to make itself felt. However, the determination was intact. The copies continued to flow in and each corrector redoubled their efforts to maintain the quality of the correction. Discussions about certain difficult copies were frequent, each opinion being valuable for a fair evaluation.
4:00 p.m. - The last copies
At the end of the afternoon, the pace of work remained brisk. The last copies of the day were corrected with the same care as the first. The satisfaction of seeing the number of copies gradually decrease was palpable. Each corrected copy represented a step closer to the conclusion of this remedial session.
6:00 p.m. - End of the day
The day finally ended around 6 p.m. The fatigue was very present, but also the satisfaction of having contributed at a crucial moment for many students. The corrected copies were returned to those responsible, ready for the next stage of validation of the results.
Conclusion
This day at the baccalaureate correction center, although long and exhausting, was rich in experiences and learning. It highlighted the importance of our role as markers and the responsibility we have to ensure fairness and rigor in student assessment. Each copy represents a journey, a story, and it is with this awareness that we accomplish our task, day after day.
