Getting Fresh Vegetables From My Neighbor's Garden
Chocolate, spring roll skin, banana and also caramel. This morning I looked in the refrigerator and found some leftover ingredients for making chocolate bananas for Eid yesterday. After thinking for quite a long time (because this is a snack that wouldn't fill me up for breakfast) and finally I decided to make peace with the situation, this is also one of the children's favorite foods.
I peeled the banana and cut it in half. Then I arranged it on spring roll skin by sprinkling chocolate bars, then I rolled it up and coated it with liquid flour. After frying it, I added chocolate vla and mocha to make the taste even tastier.
The children really like this snack, but my husband is not interested in eating it in the morning, usually our taste is for heavy breakfasts such as rice and fried noodles. After eating, Ansafun, my brother-in-law's son, came and called Afiza to play. I cleaned up the messy dinner plates then went to the room to visit Hamzah who was asleep.
While I was having fun playing with Hamzah, suddenly my neighbor came, he brought some vegetables from his garden, there were ground pumpkins and long beans. I thank him and I am very happy because there will be a menu of fresh vegetables that I will cook today.
I started cutting vegetables and soaking them in salt water. I also grated the coconut and squeezed the coconut milk. I'm going to make fat vegetables. I can also share the results of my cooking with my neighbors.
After cooking, I sorted it out for my neighbors and also for my mother-in-law. I'm sure they will like the taste. I forgot to take photos after cooking because I was too rushed.
After lunch, we sat on the terrace of the house and played with the children while looking at the construction of the house next to my house which was about 50% complete. I will have new neighbors who are elderly. They can be a reflection for me.
While he was playing, the traveling ice cream man happened to pass by. It's a very hot day, so this will be a very refreshing drink. This pudding ice cream is very delicious, I bought it for IDR 5,000/2 steem. There is jelly, sticky rice, bread and ice cream. Yummyy...
After eating ice cream, the children and I rested for a while. It's getting hot and I don't want the kids to get sick. After experiencing a complicated drama, they finally fell asleep. I couldn't sleep because I had to take care of some important things for the Grand Opening tomorrow.
Time passed very quickly. I have to go to the market to buy fish. This afternoon I just fried an omelet, it looks like tonight it would be better if there was fish as protein. Fish prices vary greatly. I don't know which one to choose.
When I left earlier, I left Hamza with my mother-in-law, I couldn't stay here for long. I was at the Brandeh market and in the afternoon, the fish traders' stalls had been cleared, luckily some were still open and I bought shrimp. The price for a kilo of shrimp is IDR 60,000/24 steem, and I only bought ¼ kg.
After buying fish, I went home in a hurry because it was also starting to rain lightly. On the way, I met my friend. He said that this Monday elementary school children would go to school and wear white clothes with red skirts. I nodded at her and I haven't bought any school supplies for Afiza and this is the center of my mind right now.
After returning home, I took Hamzah to my mother-in-law's house dI'm going back home because it's too late and I'm going to cook dinner tonight. When I got home, I cleaned the shrimp and fried them in butter. This will be the perfect dish. After sunset we ate together, but unfortunately, my husband couldn't come home because he was busy and I just ate with the children, they really liked it and hopefully tomorrow will be a good day.
