Hi there!

Yip, it’s me marking your pages again.
Waking up this morning I had such a longing for you. I’ve missed you and I have neglected you. As the little ones will say. “Sowwy!”

Guess what? It is now…

➜ 35 days until it is Christmas!

➜ 36 more days and my daughter and my grandchildren are coming for the next visit! The day just after Christmas.

And now I can add one more event. The day that we will be moving into our new home!

➜ 56 to pass before our BIG move! Only 21 days after Christmas.

RISE AND SHINE

I woke up this morning with no electricity. Did it bug me? Not at all as the soft rain falling outside was making up for it. Opening the windows and doors and letting the fresh air come in was such a relief after the few hot days we had.

I made myself comfortable on the recliner couch with a cup of tea, thank you for a gas stove, and my phone. My brother who lives in Thailand sent me a clip to watch. This was just the right time to watch it.

Anne Jakapong, started as a petrol station worker as Andy and ended up as one of the world’s richest and most powerful transgender women in the world as Anne. The new owner of the Miss Universe, Miss America, and Miss America Teen competitions.

What a remarkable life story and what an unbelievable woman. She was raped at a young age and decided not to tell anybody due to what the outcome would be if she had to speak up, not only for herself but also for her family. She wanted to spare her family the embarrassment and hurt.

Instead, she took to her diary.
“The only thing I trust is my diary”. She just kept on writing and writing and writing, holding onto it when she felt lonely. Her diary was her friend.

That my dear diary, is the reason why I longed for you this morning.

EARLY MORNING

I normally spoil my family with a big breakfast on Saturdays. A breakfast that consists of bacon, eggs, cheese grillers, mushrooms, toast, and more.

This morning I didn’t feel like making breakfast. I found 3 ripe bananas in the fruit basket and decided to rather bake banana muffins. It was a lot less work and a lot fewer dishes to be washed. Warm banana muffins spread thick with butter on a rainy morning… There were no complaints!

The electricity came on for two hours and I could recharge my phone, do a few engagement challenge verification's and put a “Tips” document together for the new South Africa Steemians. Unfortunately, there was not enough time for me to write a post.

MOM’S TAXI IS ON THE MOVE

Mom’s taxi was on the move on this rainy day. This time it was with the family.

My hubby was feeling like browsing through the shopping malls to see what is on offer for Black Friday which is this coming Friday. There are a few things we need to buy for our new home. It might be cheaper to buy some furniture instead of paying movers to bring our furniture which was left in Krugersdorp, Johannesburg, down to Ballito.

Did I ever tell you that I don’t like shopping? Well, I don’t. I don’t like to rush from shop to shop and I don’t like standing in queues.

Browsing is so much different than shopping. It is done at your own pace, with or without others, you see so much more and best of all, you don’t get to spend money.

The cherry on the cake for me was when we could sit together enjoying a meal talking and laughing.

There is this one shopping center, The Lifestyle Centre. It has a section called “The Market”. Here you can browse through various market stalls and end your day in the upmarket food court.

There is to choose from a piece of steak (250 grams) that will cost you R450 (South African rand) +/- 145 STEEM to pure beef burgers at R65 (South African rand) +/- 20 STEEM.

Once you have ordered your food the race starts. Which of our orders is going to be ready first?

Pizza from the pizza outlet, grilled chicken from the chicken kiosk or the fresh oysters from the seafood section.

Believe it or not the oysters took the longest.

To end our browsing morning we bought homemade Belgium ice cream at R40 (South African Rand) +/- 13 STEEM per scoop.

What did I say about browsing in malls doesn’t cost you to spend money?

Just for the family time we had, it was absolutely worth it!

FROM DUSK TO DAWN

3 o'clock! The electricity came on, we are back at home and just in time to watch the rugby match between South Africa and Italy.

South Africa was in the sports news yet again this week. Rassie Erasmus, former coach of the Springboks (our National rugby team) received a second consecutive ban from World Rugby. This is for his latest remarks about a referee on social media.

I can understand that the rugby bosses are getting fed up with him as he is breaking South Africa’s rugby image down but heaven knows, referees can also not get away with making mistakes match after match.

I was so glad that we had an excellent match beating Italy 63 – 21. It just showed that the men in green gold are for sure still a team to be reckoned with and that without Rassie Erasmus.

Later I helped a Steemian friend and fetched my stepson from the gym. Even though I don’t like driving in the rain it didn’t matter today. I don’t know when last I felt so relaxed and found myself singing along to Bon Jovi, “Livin on a Prayer”.

We had electricity for exactly three hours before it went off again. Same old story… same old ending to a day… in the dark.

And that my faithful diary and friend is THE END of yet another day on Mother Earth.

See you soon!

Excelente entrada 🤗

Hi!
Unfortunately I cannot tell you why you were muted.
The best is not to write educational posts if they are not 100% correct in facts, grammar, spelling etc.
I would rather tell you to enter contests.
It is the quickest to learn how to write good content and how to get known by others.
Contests, voting, and commenting! These 3 things goes hand in hand.
Good luck!
