RE: Contest | 25-Word-Comment - Monkey Business | Aid - 6 Steem
You will hardly see young guys in Nigeria that wears eyeglass, making a decision of learning a barbing skill because alot of Nigerians will underestimate them.
I summoned courage to learn the skill even if I wear eyeglass as a result of eye defects, many customers refused to allow me to barb their hair and I felt bad sometimes but my employer kept on encouraging me.
Trust me soon enough over 70 percent of the population will wear glasses if not more. I rather have someone with glasses than bad eyesight. I know plenty with very bad eyesight, not wearing glasses and driving around, highway 120 km/hrs, and walking around like "blind horses". It's dangerous but also true is that many can no longer afford to buy it. The only plus with us is that you no longer have to visit an eye specialist first (not from a certain age on) which is very expensive. Important is that you can see and how great it is thatexistsxist.
Yeah you are right, eyeglasses are now expensive, I always pay the bills sometimes each time my mum and I go to see my eye doctor and each time we go there the bills increases. Here in Nigeria things increases every week and this is bad.
There are people who managed themselves without buying glasses and I pray God keeps on giving them the grace to survive and also bless them so that they can have money to buy glasses.
I have seen barbers in YouTube who wear glasses but not in African country, the barber is from either USA or Canada but he's black.
Be happy you have them and you are good in what you do and people can still afford to pay for it. More and more can't with us and the shops are closing and nothing comes in return. We all do it at home or let it be. It is the same for many things: baker, plumber, housekeeping, laundry, we do it ourselves but we still run out of money.
Anyway I just hope things get better for human beings, the world isn't easy at all.
