Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Today I am here to share with you one of my interesting day. Metrorail has been inaugurated in Bangladesh quite some time ago. Today I will share with you my first Bangladesh Metrorail journey experience. Today I will describe how I reached from my home to my office by Metrorail.
My house is located in Motijheel of Dhaka city. I first reached Motijheel station with my colleague. First I left my house and reached Motijheel station by rickshaw with my colleague. After settling the rickshaw fare there, I saw a long staircase. It basically goes to two floors. Where we have to collect the tickets.
Then I went up to the second floor and saw many passengers waiting to go to their destination. Me and my colleague went directly to the ticket counter. When I got there, I saw some people standing in line to collect tickets. Next to me, I saw that he was collecting tickets on his own responsibility through the machine.
Then my colleague and I stood in line in front of the ticket counter. Today I will book a ticket from Motijheel in Dhaka to my office Agargaon in Dhaka. I don't have MRT pass as I am traveling for the first time. This is a permanent pass which means I don't need to collect tickets anymore. I can do permanent journey. Since I don't have an MTR pass, I stood in line to buy the ticket. The ticket price is Tk 50 in Bangladeshi Taka and Steem price is 1.85
Then two tickets were given to me from the ticket counter. One is mine and the other is my colleague's. The tickets look like a card. Where the back of the card contains various information related to Metrorail travel. Bangladesh's Dhaka Metrorail has a total of 17 stations that cover a distance of 21 km every day.
Then we take the tickets and go straight to the third floor from where we board the metrorail. I went and saw that the train was already on the platform. I and my colleagues got on the train. I went inside and saw that many passengers were sitting. However, there was no rush or excess passengers. Then we sat down on our assigned seats. After some time our train will start running.
The scenery outside was very beautiful during the train ride. It's like visiting your familiar city. You have seen the whole Dhaka in one journey. And it looks like how busy the people of this town are. Everyone is busy to reach their respective workplaces.
Anyway the condition inside the metro rail is very nice as I said earlier. You can see how neat and clean. In the meantime, my colleague and I took a picture.
Then we reached Agargaon from Motijheel in just 10 minutes. It's amazing to think that where normally it would take me 2 to 2 and a half hours. I went there in 10 minutes today. After reaching Agargaon station, I went down by escalator. There, the passengers have to push the ticket given to me into the machine to exit the station. Then I will be allowed to go outside the station.
Then me and my colleague returned our tickets to the machine and exited Agargaon station. We got out and took a rickshaw to my office Bangladesh Betar. Then both of us reached our office.
When I got to my desk at the office, I saw that I only had about 40 minutes in total. But the most comforting thing is that I did not feel any tiredness during this journey. This is the most important thing. This was my metro rail journey from home to office.
