Statistics have proven that 70% of mankind likes doing or engaging in task that are simple and easy to deal with.

However, it is also of interest to note that some seems to be difficult task end up with great benefits.

Anagram is considered as such by some....ofcourse including me..(only in my lazy mode) even though I have made some attempts in @relamps words search puzzle and fail...shame on me..!

Let me give a trial at @pennsif's anagram pre-contest contest
contest to waken my brain for 2023 task awaiting me.

I have done some research and also read up some materials to teach myself anagram and here is me mounting my imaginary stage to teach the friends what it is all about...

Anagrams?

Simply put, the act of rearranging the order of letters in a word to form another word is what is known as Anagrams. And the tricks about this is that a letter is used only once in this instance.

Scope..?

All you have to do is to rearrange the letters and it will give a different new word.

Here is a quick example of simple anagram to digest the information above..:

Let’s say we have the word :
Team we can rearrange it as Meat, Tame.
Heart we can rearrange it as Earth, Hater.

Let’s take a look at what I will call mini difficult anagram..:

Embarrassing we can rearrange to form Bears Margins

Ebbing we can rearrange to form Big ben.

Pennington we can have Penning Not.

  • Election results we can rearrange to have Lies Let’s recount
  • lasagna flair we can rearrange to have Niagara falls.

Most folks use the anagram to generate their security passwords, as a matter of fact..I wan to try that this new year.

Site like :word.tips/unscramblewas very useful to me during my anagram research.

Feel free to check the site.., it could be useful to you too.

Perhaps my German friend @weisser-rabe, or Ukrainian friend @o1eh and maybe my UK friend @petface have a great opinion about Anagrams.

I will be interested to read it. And by the way, i don't consider it a challange.

I feel contents like this should be encourage in the blog....it is more of brain work/ exercise...it is more of real enagement just like we have the Scrabble game by @chriddi in the DU community.

Let me know what you think about this in the comment section...

Scrabble is the best way to internalize the formation of anagrams!
Do you really want to learn how to form anagrams? Get Scrabble pieces. Or write letters on small pieces of paper and move them back and forth! That's the only way to make it fun! Stay away from anagram sites or word generators! Who wants to compare his own brain with algorithms!

Happy New Year, dear Udofot. You'll rule it!

Thank you so much for that great input. I think this other technique you mentioned is so easy.., i could actually try that tomorrow morning.

Stay away from anagram sites or word generators!

I guess this is just to make me a little more hardworking instead of depending on some easy means....,thank you.

The bottom line is...👉 I will keep learning this brain teaser till i come out much better.

Thank you for your kind words..!

Hihi, as I said, if you really want to learn how to play with anagrams, moving the letters on your own is essential. Only then the game is a "brain teaser"... ;-)

The word generators have taken a lot of joy out of our DU Scrabble. After all, you can't ban technology when everyone has access to it online. Well, the "cheaters" have noticed themselves that a game without own ambition has little appeal. Now we are not as many players as in the beginning, but they are all users who do without the technology and have fun measuring their own anagram skills among themselves.
I think @pennsif will also quickly realize that there is little joy in praising users who clearly invest only a few seconds and a few clicks for an idea that you put effort into working out.

Thank you for being the first entry on my Big 80 Anagrams contest.

It's a good way to start the year, atleast with some good cracking of brain.

Thank you for this interesting activity.

I used to play this game when I was younger. I have to confess I am not very good at it. My friends always come up with more words than I. And because of that, it wasn't fun any more . haha...

Oh..I see. I am not really a PRO on it, but i have tried it few times...it's actually a good brain teaser, most especially when you are doing it with brain.

Maybe you can give it a trial...
