Nine months ago when the steemit team came up with the idea of the Steemit Development Incentive Program, it was like a great opportunity for everyone to make their suggestions on how they want the blog to be and a few suggestions on some developments they will like to see in the blog.

I thought of a few suggestions and I also made some research through videos and reading various materials outside the steemit platform to see if any of those suggestions were possible…, guess what? They were possible!

And I put them down here through this post entitled: Steemit Development Incentive Program: My little suggestions...

Now, take a look at point one of my suggestion in that post above.., that's what I want to talk about in this publication!

It's no longer a story that the Multisig wallet which was my one-time wish and suggestion is now available in the blog.

I just stumbled over this announcement👉 The pennsif.witness Steem Multisig Wizard is HERE! made a few hours ago by @rexthetech and I felt so excited...., you could spare some minutes to read that, it's not much.

I appreciate the fact that he has carefully explained how this new tool works, it's simple and open. I also need to emphasise that password (active keys) doesn't leave your browser, so nothing to worry about.

Why would this tool be useful in the blog?

I mentioned it some time ago in one of my posts and here is the reason below:

Recently, we all noticed a tremendous Power down of various communities by admins, and sometimes it wasn’t the agreement of the other Admins/moderators.
Come to think of it, these are funds generated by users through setting their beneficiaries in other to build such accounts, unfortunately, in the end, the funds turn out to be a one-man thing.
My Suggestion to solve this is the creation of a Multisig wallet for community accounts. I am not a developer, but I wish developers can come up with such a system in other to minimize such abuse. - ref.

And I am glad a developer heard that little voice of mind from afar and start working on that project, thank you @freelance.monkey, @pennsif and @rexthetech for making this happen, I must commend you all. It's a good week for @pennsif.witness as he released this new valuable tool.

This tool would be very useful, especially in community accounts, it will be useful to Admins and Moderators of some communities if they must gain and maintain the trust of their members.

Unfortunately, after the community project initiative was introduced some years back, most communities that were active then are no way to be found now apart from just a few ones. I know of some communities that are doing perfectly okay and I also know of some that are just waiting for the right time to strike their main deal of creation....don't ask me anything about them, I won't respond to that.

It would be interesting to see if communities would accept Multisig Wizard, maybe @steemitblog could have a say on this as they are also part of the team supporting these various communities to attain growth? For further reasons why I feel this should be adopted in community accounts...please kindly read my old post 👉here.

As for users, you may wish to share your thoughts through this contest that is entitled What are your thoughts on a multi-sig wallet on Steemit communities?

I am keen to read all your opinions..., thank you.

I personally like this idea and this project.
Atleast it will definitely help in reducing communities power down, more so it will also build trust between users and the community and trust from the steemit team too.

I would definitely be a part of the contest.
