Boring Text

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE16 days ago (edited)

More than once I hear "I can't write" or "I have to think, study first what I will write about." Do you have to? My response was back then that if you can comment, and write long comments it's better to use them as a post since comments aren't read by many and rarely rewarded. There are great comments written and freewriting isn't different from commenting.
I experienced that comments are easier and faster written than articles. The reason? It's a response to something that is said. If it comes to that we all have an opinion or thought we can type down and share with the author or better everyone who reads us.

Comments, articles, essays, there's no need to be boring or break your brain over it since all the knowledge you already have if you shared your personal opinion, feelings, and thoughts as if you talk to a friend.

Today I bumped into this video which basically says the same as I repeat for many years and for some reason is rarely picked up by those who complain they can't write (I frequently say: Write as if you talk to a friend!).

In your daily life, you will see, read, watch, and hear enough to write about. This is the inspiration, these are the prompts you can use to share your opinion. There's no need to start from scratch, to think over what to write, how to put it. Write as if you are commenting which is what we all do in our daily lives (to family, friends, pets, as a keyboard hero, moderators, in our jobs, and so on). If you still find it hard to read a few people, write a comment about what text you read and instead of posting it you copy it and make a post out of it.

Happy writing and let's kill the boring text and make writing fun again.

Note: indeed the music of this podcast is boring and annoying.

Good point.. Write as if talking to a friend. That doesn't rule an angry mood if you feel something is amiss. I personally like to meditate a bit before putting down in writing an essay on a particular topic. Commenting on what someone else has written doesn't require me to do a lot of meditation. But I do like think before I write a comment. Like this comment. Writing something to a friend. :>)

Some friends do rule that angry mood if talking to a friend since that's what friends are for as well: honesty, that listening, understanding ear if anger, frustration, hurt speaks.
Thinking what is written, meant but also what it does to us as a reader I see as a natural thing. There are also cases where I discuss it with others or search for answers before I comment.

Thanks for writing my friend. It's appreciated.
