Since the beginning of time, man ise a way of strengthening and relieving stress through sports and exercises. Athletes are set of people who professionally practice sport. Their main aim is either for passion or money. Some greatest athletes includes Tiger wood from golf, Serena Williams from tennis, christiano Rolando from football, etc. So, in this article, I will show us who I regard as the greatest athlete and why?

The best athelete for me is known as Lionel Messi from football world. His official name is Lionel Andrès Messi from Argentina. Football history is incomplete without mentioning this great man. He is currently a forward player in Paris Saint German (PSG) for club level and Argentina in national level.

His Achievement, records and personality

Lionel Messi has earned the title of a great athlete by picking honours and records for his career. Leo Messi has earned 7 Ballon d'or, 2 FIFA world cup golden ball, 6 European golden boots, etc. In the trophies aspect, Lionel Messi has won the 2022 fifa world cup, 10 La Liga cups, 7 Copa del Rey cups, 4 UEFA champions league, 2021 Copa America cup, etc. The great star has set unbreakable records for his career like most Ballon d'or (7), La Liga most hat tricks (36), highest goals scored for one club (672), etc.
Lionel Messi has a great and amazing personality. He is a cool player who enjoys carrying his team members along. This is why he has captained teams in most of his career days.

My Favorite Moment of his career

My favorite moment of Lionel Messi's career is when he lift up the 2022 world cup high to the sky. He is the first South American player to win both World cup and Copa America. Lionel Messi had a challenging time when he lost the world cup in 2014 and 2018 thereby becoming a runner-up. His determination to go forward led to the victory of the 2022 world cup. It was also a legendary moment because that was his last time playing for national levels. It was a well deserved victory.

The impact of Lionel Messi to the football world is a great one. In the national level, he has proven that Argentina is capable of winning more world cup by his performance of the last season. This will serve as a motivation for Argentina to win more world cup. In the club levels, he has motivated a lot of young players through his performance to work harder in order to have a great career life. And as for me, he is the player that urge me into watching football through his amazing performance and actions.
