In the 12th century, Leonardo Fibonacci son of a merchant gives the world a very ordinary series, the Fibonacci series. The series is very ordinary when you just see it but too much important for the mathematician, trader and even artists. he was called the Leonardo of Pisa for his lifelong trial of explaining things with mathematics. later in the 19th century, it got the entity it deserves- design of god.

Fibonacci series: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,.................,Pn
Pn=(Pn-1+Pn-2); some of previous two number is the n-th number


This is just a series?? No, it's not. when you see a flock of migratory birds, count the number there will be always a Fibonacci number of birds in flock

i.e 3 or 5 or 8 or...........any number on that series.

This is not just it. The number of petals of any flower, number of leaves of a tree is a Fibonacci number.

why have I drawn these? because you will see this everywhere in nature from snails to complex nature elements.

When a number of the Fibonacci spirals are connected we get the most probable compacted shape. Therefore, you will see that seeds in sunflower and many other flowers are arranged in that arrangement.

The golden ratio

now let's divide a Fibonacci number with the previous Fibonacci number

13/8=1.625 , 21/13=1.615 , ......., 89/55=1.618 , 144/89=1.618
now the far we go we will get the ratio to be the same as 1.618. this is called the golden ratio.

it is just a ratio, what is there to call it a golden one? there is my brother. it is found from the experiment that any thing that maintains this ratio looks beautiful.
