...I wish to share one of my recent paintings from "Erebus" series. This work is very personal to me. I wanted to express the feeling of premonition of tough times to come, the turning point from state of joy and happiness to the territory of sadness and grief. And this moment in between two worlds is filled with bittersweet melancholia.

The intention of this piece was to create a grotesque, yet undeniably charming, chimera type creature that could potentially be the horrific result of genetic engineering gone mad, or perhaps the miraculous product of a forbidden romance in the farmyard.
Chickenpig in reality is a sculpture I made from Super Sculpey which I coloured with glazes of oil paint and photographed for painting reference.

Geez, forgot to set the artists as beneficiaries on the last post. Knew I was forgetting something. The post made about a dollar so I sent each artist 3 Steem.

Two years ago, there was an airbrush artist that would show his work, and I thought it was great. https://steemit.com/@neonartist If you have never had the opportunity to stumble across him, take a look, he has returned, and I think a bit more encouragement he may stay a bit longer.
