Greetings to steemworld!

Introduction

In this 21st century generation, social media is highly useable unlike any other century. One will come to know that it's where everything ND anything can take place in. Social media and Internet has made life in this century to be so easy and very much affordable.

Different medium have made me in particular to learn and earn more than what I was taught and leant in school. Yeah the real Education is being educated in the classroom and not limits our abilities to what school thought us but rather leaving school with a mindset that's open to the social world for different education relating to different media.

I have been using Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Instagram for over 10 years but never have I come accross the type of Education I have learned in #steemit in a year and a half. I'm indeed grateful to @fombae for Introducing me to such an amazing platform where I don't only learn and improve my knowledge but most importantly I learn and I'm upgraded and rewarded simultaneously. Isn't that wonderful 🥰? Oh yes! It is.

I have been reading and for these past days noticed some points that as a newbie, to succeed in steemit, you will need to apply these couple of tips below.

Achivement posts and Markdowns

I was facing alot of difficulty in steem the very first 2months I joined because I wasn't taking my achivement task seriously. This pose alot of problem in me as I couldn't navigate well in the platform.

I was reading people's posts and admiring the without actually believing I could learn to make mine Same. With what I learned from achivement 2 task I knew if I continue my achivement tasks I will learn more.

During this period I had to frequently ask how to apply different markdowns styles from the following steemians @breeze.cm, @chiabertrand and many others.

I didn't actually know them in person but from reading their publications I had to create that relationship.

And so I started taking the achivement tasks seriously and one thing is not just doing them but understanding what the task it meant to educate you about.

I did achivement 1-4 and booom! I could use different markdown styles. My posts were different and I could enjoy writing and reading them. When posting formatted post and not including too much long paragraphs, it makes your post very interesting and attractive too.

Power ups

I didn't really take power up as important until I was frequently interacting with @ngoenyi in our African women WhatsApp group where I saw how she emphasized it.
Like she always says it's important to hold steem in steem power than to hold it as steem

Do weekly power-ups to build a good reputation here in Steemit. When your steem is held in steem power, it's very difficult for phishing links to get hold of your steem if click any phishing link because it's takes longer time for power down to be converted back to steem so you'll definitely stop it.

Originality of content

Make sure to cross check all post you make using this plagiarism checker tool to be sure you're plagiarism free before posting on steemit. Plagiarism is a serious crime here in this platform and sanctions can be muting of your post. Here's is the Link to check the originality of your content.

Don't forget to use grammarly.com in order to improve on your grammar. Good grammar makes your post easily readable too.

Club status

I'm happy to be a full time #club5050 member though I aim at reaching #club100 soon. If you're a steemian who is actively posting and not in any club I think the best way to get high upvotes is when you're participating in atleast club5050.

Before joining the club status, I was making good post but wasn't rewarded because i was dedicated in powering up my account to be amongst a club.

The best way to succeed in steemit is by investing in it and that's through frequently powering up. Here's a link to how to check your club status link
To be in club5050, transfer out must be equal to you power up within a month that is 30days.
For club75, you power up must be 75% and more of you rewards for the past two months
For club100 status, you must have not transferred out within the last three months but have power up what's in your account.

Voting

It's important to read and benefits from other users knowledge which they share to the platform and by so doing we comment. Not just reading but make it a habit to comment and upvote any post you read. It's shows how committed and dedicated you're in the ecosystem. You can always keep inform or check your voting manna using the steemworld.org created by @steemchiller.

Be genuine and patient

I hate it when I make a post and someone doesn't even read to understand but drops an annoying remark or comment. It's actually engaging and encouraging when you read and drop comments that's based on my write up

Stop reading comments to make your own comment. You will learn better if you actually read the publication before dropping a comment rather than copying comments to get rewarded and definitely not leaning anything.

Conclusion

It's takes time, dedication and patience to make it. I advise you to follow @disconnect inorder to be updated with recent and ongoing contest here in Steemit because he rats through all contest and save us the stress from searching.

For a bonus, remember to use tags accordingly, that is for example the diary game post tags (thediarygame) should be well spelled too. When you use the correct tags for your publications, it's going to be easy for curators to find your post
