RE: WTF? - Sunday 5 Minute Freewrite
I feel loathing that we have ignored this thing instead of just doing some good education - like we should do for any kind of disease prevention. And that we have a medical system which costs us tons of money ( I pay 800 every month for the priviledge of having health insurance but can't go to the doctor because my co-pay and deductible are super high as well) and provides little service...
Let's educate people on how to stay healthy in body and mind. We are so far away from that...
The joys of treating the symptoms and not the cause. This is a problem with the entire concept of the medical industry. When we put profit before cures we get this situation. And for that matter the medical industry is hell bent on keeping so many of these conditions going so there is a reason to keep creating more drugs and more profit.
I love the old Franklin saying, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" and it is just as true today as it was then.
