Day 879: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: half off

This is my post for #freewrite Tuesday prompt half-off hosted by @mariannewest

Well, something happened today that neither of us thought about, you could say we have been knocked half-off our rockers. The fish house told us that they are no longer going to buy pompano because they sell them to restaurants and no longer have sales because of this virus. They are still buying other fish but they said every hour they are getting cancelations on orders for fish. They are hoping they can stay open but told us don't be surprised if they stop buying all fish and close down until this is over. I am thinking about getting a retail license and sitting on a street corner with my cooler of fish, but then I think about all the people I would be dealing with and it scares me. I do not know how we will pay our bills. I know we are not in "this boat" alone, there is going to be a lot of people without a way to make their bills. I do not have any answers.

My husband and I were talking and he says "you know, we have lived in some interesting times", not to make light of the coronavirus. He said think about it, our generation has seen the birth of home computers/internet, we have seen the end of the 1900's, the start of global warming, and now a pandemic. I think I am good on seeing new things.
