I’m already an adult, but I still love anime. In Japan, almost all kids read manga and watch anime on a daily basis, and lately, I can feel that “The Anime Culture” is spreading even more.

So in this article, I’d like to show you my TOP 5 favourite (modern) Anime that you can watch on netflix (or not)!

Number 5 Demon slayer（鬼滅の刃）

This anime/manga was an absolute success in Japan. People literally went crazy for this. I watched the anime and the movie and then also I ready the Manga. My opinion is, that this anime is overrated. (it is a nice story, but I don’t understand how this anime was such a huge success.) However, as it caused a sensational phenomenon in the Japanese society, I think this anime has (or should have) something very special.

Number 4 Fullmetal Alchemist　（鋼の錬金術師）

This is a sad story. Just sad. And you should watch it...

Number 3 My hero academia （僕のヒーローアカデミア）

If you are down, and you don’t think you are giving your best in your life and projects, I invite you to watch this anime. I think this type of anime reminds you the importance of working hard for your dream.

Number 2 Promised neverland　（約束のネバーランド）

Initially, it seems a regular heartwarming Japanese story, however, you can understand that this Anime is actually very DARK. The development of the story and the hidden messages included in each chapters make you think on some conspiracy… so if you like details and you are good “discovering them”, I highly recommend checking this anime. (FYI: the manga version has many more hidden messages!)

Number 1 Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人)

You might know this one (I hope you do!). This is the ultimate mind-blowing Anime.
Usually, I prefer the Manga rather than the Anime version of the stories. However, in the specific case of Attack on Titan, anime is much better. I think that this is because the technique that the animators used to create the anime, was very high quality and it was able to show the perfect motion of the action scenes. Also, you need to listen opening songs of the first and second seasons. They are just GREAT.
