A nice ride to Lake Lugano in good company
Hello friends
In this post I would like to tell you about an outing I did together with the group of walkers from my municipality, practically almost once a week we organise outings to various naturalistic places in the area.
This time we decided to go to a small place on Lake Lugano, right on the border between Italy and Switzerland, a place I did not know, but which impressed me greatly from a naturalistic point of view.
We went to Brusimpiano , a small municipality in the province of Varese , and I found out that it is so called because 'brusi' means burnt, probably in the Longobard era there were some fires and fires set by barbarian populations, who often raided here.
We started practically from the Argentera Park and did a ring-route of about 12 km, taking more or less the whole day .
It is also called the park of the mills because a river passes through this park that was used to run these old mills, which unfortunately were then abandoned and no longer used.
Walking by this river we also passed a strange dwelling, but it had beautiful decorations on the outside walls, but I could not understand the use of this place.
Before reaching Lake Lugano, we had to cross a small hill, from where you could see a beautiful panorama of the entire lake, so I stopped to take a few photos, to be shared here.
The route then became much easier, all downhill, and then we crossed the lakeside road, but first we passed a beautiful little church, it was a beautiful villa I think from the 1900s, you must know that in those years many entrepreneurs from the area were building their second home here near the lake.
When we arrived near the lake, someone sat down for something to eat, I put my feet inside to try to make them firm from the fatigue of the walk, and someone even though the water was quite cold took a little regenerative bath.
I then left the group for a while, and went for a little ride, and at the lakeside, I noticed some handmade furniture is very special, which can be useful for resting.
I also went for a walk in the village's small harbour, where there are a lot of boats moored, I think a lot of them are from tourists who come here on holiday, especially a lot of Swiss, because it is much cheaper for them to come on holiday to Italy.
Then after I finished my walk, I went back to the other comma and we walked to the centre of town, where there was a bus waiting to take us home.
I hope you found my outdoor experience in nature interesting, most probably many of you did not know of the existence of this lake, and it was a pleasure for me to introduce you to it.
See you in my next story.
Bye everyone and have a great day!
