RE: The curangel approach to upcoming communities
@pharesim I am commenting from the beta steemit curangel hive directly to test the functionality.
Just a few thoughts/questions:
The @curangel community will not be a place for you to post
What exactly are we saying here? Are we recommending people not to post from the hive? Or is it optional. I understand that we will curate regardless of the origin of the post, that is obvious.
The hive is only for posts related to the project, and we will moderate.
Are we saying only the daily curation posts and news/update related to the project will be posted from the hive?
Also what are your thoughts on front-end and back-end. Do you expect any improvements on the way, structural and cosmetic?
Not into the community, no. At least if it's not directly related to the project, like applications for curators or so (which would probably be comments to a post from one of us). For anything else there will be other communities where their content fits in. This is stuff about curangel only.
Yes. Even not 100% sure about the daily posts, maybe they'd just clutter up the stream here and it's better suited the keep these solely in the @curangel blog. People could then decide to subscribe to the community for talk about the project or follow curangel for the compilations. Or both.
I hope for a lot of improvements of course :D What I remember from the features list I saw a while back there's a lot more coming.
In that case, what will be the solution if/when every hive has their native token and that is how steem inflation is distributed and transposed. Steem original token does not have any inflation. Steem is used to run the engine, doing structural stuff. I do not even know if that is a possibility but I have heard the discussion.
What would we need a token for? If there's nothing to earn by posting any more, there's even less reason for anyone else to post in our community.
LOL! Right.... will see. I guess we will cross the bridge when we get to it :)
I seriously wonder if curangel is even still needed if that happens. The distribution of community tokens will be very different from the current distribution of STEEM. I'd imagine curation projects to be community specific then, and probably run by the community administrators.
