Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon, and welcome to my blog as I present my 9th report as the Steem Representative.

Literally, I have been so occupied to the extent that I could not present my report for last week activities. Today, I’m gonna share a summary of my activities for 2 weeks now.

Below are some of the activities I carried out across the platform within this period as stated above.

Steemit Promotion.

Promoting Steemit has been challenging especially in Cameroon now because of economic hardship. Introducing new users to the platform, you are often asked the question “… how much I’m going to make in a month?”. People are not willing to spent time on what will not guarantee food on their tables each month end.

It is pretty hard to see passionate bloggers who are willing to blog without expecting a guaranteed reward. Therefore, the only mode of promotion I did was to carryout face to face promotion.

During the face to face promotion, I talked about steemit to mostly close friends and family members. Unfortunately no one was willing to create an account.

As for the Steemit workshop I usually hold on Fridays, I decided to put it on hold as I am out of town for two weeks now. Hopefully, when I return back to base, I'll reactivate the workshops to continue spreading the gospel of Steemit to the world.

I am equally planning for a meetup with the new users we introduced on Steemit during our Friday Steemit training. This is because I have noticed that most of the new users we introduced after creating introductory posts, went inactive. I believe that during the meetup, we will be able to understand what their challenges are and how we can propose solutions.

Amongst the over 15 users we had introduced on Steemit, only the following users are making efforts to stay active on the platform.

Activities in Steem Cameroon Community.

Each week we hold our online meeting with the admins and Mods to better managed the community account. We also used the opportunity to share our personal challenges and find ways to bring onboard some solutions.

As a plagiarism leader and actively fighting all forms of abuse on the community, I had to ensure that content creators create quality content free from any form of abuse on steemit. During this period, one plagiarized content was recorded by a newcomer. I issued him a warning and the content was muted. We hope steemians continues to create plagiarized free content and proper use of non-copyrighted images.

I reviewed articles within the community on days I was free. It was an opportunity to guide some users on the use of appropriate tags and also avoid unnecessary tagging. I also guide them on effectively using their voting manna and also engage with meaningful comments on other users content.

Contest.

To keep users busy and create original content, I organise a weekly contest “Are Dowries Dehumanizing?”. The price for the contest is 15 SP and for outstanding content, a booming vote to encourage them. I equally announced winners of the Steemit bigchef09 series and their prices sent to their wallets as SP.

Content Creation.

Within this period, I was able to create a total of 12 articles. Three of which were engagement challenges in other communities as seen below.

Other contents were the diary games, the Steemit Bigchef09 contest and a creative writing topic “The Feeling”.

Support Other Content Creators with @chant Account.

I used my effective Steem power of over 48k to support steemians with quality content on the platform.

Preference was given to authors using the tag burnsteem25. I equally supported other articles across the platform. Over the week, I reached out to 106 accounts and upvoted 193 posts with a CSI score of 16.0.

At this juncture, I have come to the end of my presentation of my weekly activities and hopefully will do better for the upcoming weeks.

Kind regards.
