Dear Steemians and Dear Steemit Team!

And the year is progressing... It seems to me to be a year of many changes. In my private life, of course, but I also see movement at Steem. I have hope that much of it will lead in a good and correct direction.

Despite my limited time resources, I want to be a part of it.

Our Dream Steem Community celebrated its first anniversary since it was founded in the spring. Now I think the time has come to realise one of the ideas I put forward at our first presentation: a book publication with texts from the Community. I discussed this with our members and the response was almost exclusively positive.

No, of course it's not about printing the Internet!

On the one hand, the aim is to give our members the feeling that they are genuine and recognised authors. In many countries of origin, it is almost impossible for even wonderful writers to publish books. I see a unique opportunity here to help them do just that. Moreover, own publications, also within anthologies, are often the prerequisite for access to literary prizes and cultural funding.

On the other hand, a book like this should provide a good bridge to the offline world. Interested readers will find their way to Steem - either to their favourite authors who are always available or with the ulterior motive of becoming one of them themselves. In short: I think it can be an excellent advertising tool for a blogging platform.

The entire project will be presented and recorded during its creation and realisation; all steps will be publicly known and the development will always be traceable. The accounting of any sales will also be visible at all times; all profits realised will of course be distributed among the authors in the form of Steem.

And otherwise?! Yes, there have been a few posts of my own and I have been constantly curating both my private and the Community and Charity Accounts of the Dream Steem Community. In addition, our regular contests are running and new authors continue to find their way to us.

Unfortunately, after a longer break, I noticed an increase in, shall we say, irregular posts. In other words, either very obviously AI-generated texts or from authors who did not write their own ideas. I didn't notice any direct plagiarism, but I did notice retellings of other people's content. We should keep an eye on this and react if it becomes a trend...

Liebe Steemians und liebes Steemit Team!

Und das Jahr schreitet voran… Mir erscheint es als das Jahr vieler Veränderungen. Natürlich im privaten Bereich, aber auch auf dem Steem sehe ich Bewegung. Ich habe Hoffnung, daß vieles davon in eine gute und richtige Richtung führt.

Trotz weiterhin begrenzter zeitlicher Ressourcen möchte ich ein Teil davon sein.

Unsere Dream Steem Community feierte im Frühjahr den ersten Jahrestag seit Gründung. Nunmehr halte ich den Zeitpunkt für gekommen, eine der Ideen zu verwirklichen, die ich bereits bei unserer ersten Präsentation in den Raum stellte: eine Buchveröffentlichung mit Texten aus der Community. Ich habe das mit unseren Mitgliedern diskutiert und die Resonanz war fast ausschließlich positiv.

Nein, es geht natürlich nicht darum, das Internet auszudrucken!

Das Ziel ist zum Einen, unseren Mitgliedern das Gefühl zu verschaffen, echte und anerkannte Autoren zu sein. In vielen Herkunftsländern ist es selbst wunderbaren Schriftstellern kaum möglich, Bücher zu veröffentlichen. Hier sehe ich eine einmalige Gelegenheit, ihnen genau dazu zu verhelfen. Eigene Publikationen, auch innerhalb von Anthologien, sind zudem oft die Zugangsvoraussetzung zu Literaturpreisen und Kulturförderungen.

Andererseits dürfte so ein Buch einen guten Brückenschlag zur offline-Welt ermöglichen. Interessierte Leser finden den Weg auf den Steem – entweder zu ihren ständig verfügbaren Lieblingsautoren oder eben mit dem Hintergedanken, selbst einer von ihnen zu werden. Kurz: ich denke, es kann ein vorzügliches Werbemittel für eine Blogging-Plattform sein.

Das ganze Projekt wird während seiner Entstehung und Verwirklichung dargestellt und protokolliert; alle Schritte werden öffentlich bekannt sein und die Entwicklung stets nachvollziehbar. Auch die Abrechnung eventueller Verkäufe wird jederzeit einsehbar sein; alle erzielten Gewinne werden natürlich unter den Autoren in Form von Steem ausgeschüttet.

Begleitet uns doch bei unserem Vorhaben! Träumt mit uns ;-))

Und sonst?! Ja, es gab einige eigene Posts von mir und ich habe permanent sowohl mit meinem privaten als auch den Community und Charity Accounts der Dream Steem Community kuratiert. Darüber hinaus laufen unsere regulären Wettbewerbe und es finden weiter neue Autoren den Weg zu uns.

Leider bemerkte ich nach einer längeren Ruhepause wieder eine Zunahme der, sagen wir, irregulären Posts. Also entweder sehr offensichtlich KI-generierter Texte oder eben aus nicht eigener Urheberschaft. Ich konnte dabei keine direkten Plagiate feststellen, aber Nacherzählungen fremder Inhalte. Wir sollten das im Auge behalten und reagieren, wenn es zu einem Trend wird…
