The topic of this week is… “What do you do with your favorite aromatic plant?”

In my garden there are many aromatic plants but the one that is my favorite is the one we call "Oregano Orejón". It's a plant that is useful both for cooking and for making healing recipes. Its scientific name is Plectranthus amboinicus.

Whenever I need to have a drink to soothe my sore throat or flu-like processes I go to the garden and take two leaves of the plant and make an infusion that helps me recover from my respiratory disorders.

It's very important in the culinary arts because using a leaf of the plant gives a refreshing touch to the taste of stews or soups. I also know that it's used in the preparation of refreshing drinks.
