C stands for... Cooking

I am happy with the low-budget rice cooker although it's hard to cook rice with it. A part is due to the rice. Even if I buy the same rice it differs. I notice it when I wash it. By now it is at least 7 times which costs a lot of water. I did not come to soak it overnight yet. So far I only did for a few hours and that rice wasn't a success.
I used to cook rice like pasta, always good but lately, that changed too. I love rice but the results are so disappointing. I will keep trying.
What my cooker cannot do is keep the rice warm it gets burned. Yesterday's rice was good perhaps because I steamed the beans on top of it (saves gas/electricity) but since the chicken wasn't ready yet.
Now I mention chicken, yesterday's chicken was the first chicken in a long time that was not old! Just bones left, not much for the dogs today. Yes, indeed I do give the chicken ones to the dogs. Before I used to throw them on my compost pile but since the dogs dig them out it's easier this way.
