Ant-Man and the Wasp goes back a few days before the unfortunate events of Infinity War to tell us what happened to Scott Lang after helping Captain America in the Leipzieg airport fight. This sequel particularly shines the relationship between protagonists. The tension between Scott and Hope, who were beginning a romance was cut short after Civil War, is handled very well in the film.

Michael Peña and the rest of the thieves from the first Ant-Man, united as partners in a security company called Ex-Con, continue to be a comic element in this sequel. But the point where the movie improves a lot is in the villain. Leaving aside the typical confrontation between the antagonist and the hero, two parts are presented here: on the one hand, Ghost that has superpowers and a tragic story. And on the other hand, a group of smugglers led by Sonny Burch, who allow the threat to diversify and give a little more prominence to the secondary characters.

If I had to criticize any part of the film, it would be the story of Ghost and his past. But finishing watching the digest of the story, the biggest hole in Ant-Man and the Wasp is the lack of depth for exploiting Hank Pym's dark side.

In the first part it is imposed that Pym is a difficult type to treat. This time multiple things are solved, relating the professional differences that he had with his wife and the fight that caused the separation of the scientific union that he had with Bill Foster. However, it does not go deeper, losing a great narrative contribution to the human plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp.
