The school, which is an educational institution and also organizes teaching and learning activities, is a place where there are several suggestions and supporting infrastructure. This cannot be separated from the need for such supporting facilities, for example, classrooms as a place for students to learn, office or teacher space as a place for educators, library space as a place to find reading and reading, Student Health Unit space as a place for student treatment, student toilets, and teacher toilets and canteens are also included in it.
On this occasion, I would like to discuss a little about the existence of canteens and snacks in it, as a place where all people in the school can buy and also enjoy their break time with food and drinks available there. Of course, in a way, it is selected and purchased in advance.

Healthy eating and drinking for purchase must be hygienic from various germs, safe from various ingredients for making these foods and drinks, and nutritious in terms of benefits. Another thing is, of course, the state of the canteen itself, which must be far from landfills, and toilets and also clean and comfortable to be a place for all people to enjoy the food and drinks they buy.

The school canteen itself has an important function in its existence so that the function can support the learning process of students in terms of meeting the needs of the school community. Broadly speaking, the function of the school canteen is:
- Supporting school health is the first important function, which can provide nutritious and healthy food and drinks. This will help the growth, development, and health of the entire school community, both teachers and students.
- Supporting education is the second function, where the canteen can be used as a learning resource for students to socialize as a source of knowledge about healthy food and drinks, and even a place to gain experience in terms of entrepreneurship.
- Developing school cooperatives is another function, some schools will work with school cooperatives to manage cooperative funds, which will bring benefits to the development of school cooperatives.

Because the purpose and sorry canteen is closely related to the availability of food and drinks for the entire school community, then all the snacks that are sold in the canteen are always the concern of the school to see and check periodically. Snacks that do not meet the elements of good health usually will be banned from sale.
