Today I surfaced in another school once again and this time around, I didn't show up as a guardian or a parent, but to witness my friends presentation, I know you can remember my friend God'sgift whom I have been creating content with during @anailuj1992 learning challenge that focuses on building relationship with children, this has really thought me a lot, today is her school end of the year party, I didn't have an intension of showing up, I put a call across to my coursemate and he said he won't be showing up in campus today for lectures, I decided to stay back to complete some of the taskes that were left unfinished, things that added value in my life.

BOREDOM

As I stayed for a while at home, as it is always said learning without an attachment of fun may makes you dull, I looked at my laptop for some hours; after a while, I felt boredom was approaching gradually.** I just remembered God'sgift invited me for her party**. I felt it was late, but on seeing my other neighbour's child, who is also performing there, preparing for the end-of-the-year party, I dressed up quickly. I must honour this invitation, I said soliloquially.

fashion parade

My V blog is rich this time; today I saw pupils around the age of 3-5 who, during the fashion parade, wore shoes before their shorts. That is for the boys, and you know how hard it will be for them to pull up their shorts. Very funny; it seems I am starting my narration from the bottom line.

BREAKTIME FOR CHRISTMAS

IMG_20241217_121909_4.jpg

IMG_20241217_121547_503.jpg

It's Christmas Eve(s) all over the world, and at the same time, schools are closing everywhere in Nigeria (nursery and secondary schools only). Undergraduates like us don't rest; school will be ongoing. The only time we will be given a break is a few days before Christmas. The colour, as usual, is red and white; you can see this from the frequency of usage. I met another Santa Claus today, but this one is dark-complexioned.

ARRIVAL

When I arrived at this place, I was a little bit confused; the reason is because I thought the occasion would be done in an open space, but nah, it is done in a confined environment like a conference hall. This is nice because in harmattan seasons like this, the sun becomes hotter and dust fills the air on a little move, so it's a nice decision by the party organiser to host it in this hall.

MUSIC ON MY MIND

I really love the sound system of this school disc jockey controller; he has all the sound of Christmas in one band that a passerby may likely miss its way down here. If possibly he is a lover of music, this school is a missionary school owned by the apostolic church. Education is not free, so the students here pay fees to enjoy quality education.

WELCOME SONG AND WELL WISHES

The parents were welcomed by their children with different welcome songs; the Spanish song "Feliz Navidad" was sung frequently as a matching song. My friend @dexsyluz and @vivigebelis will enjoy this part; I was never fed up with this because it is the season. Hearing this song a thousand and one times serves as a reminder to me.

SPELLING BEE

Academics can never be left out; carols are important this season, but here we have the students proving their worth by spelling some words. In Nigeria we have a TV program like this known as a spelling bee, where words are spelt for prizes to be won.

BIBLE RECITATION

Another is a proof of how close the kids have been with their maker; they recited some portions of the scriptures, and drama was also part of the occasion, but they came in last after class presentation.

FASHION PARADE

IMG_20241217_123122_794.jpg

I almost forgot to talk about the fashion parade in this presentation. The uniform of pupils in the creche was set up for them on a sit, and the aim was to see them dress properly for school all by themselves. I thought it was an easy task, but I saw something that shocked me: the kids took so much time in wearing the uniform, especially the girls; one even cried in the process when all her effort in trying to put on her sporting wear proved futile. I laughed at this point; this session captivated me so much because a lot was learnt by the pupils.

GOD'SGIFT DANCE

I was very alert to keep my camera turned on when my friend God'sgift was going to present. If you don't watch this dance session, then you have missed a very important segment. I just realised that my little princess and friend is a good dancer. She is smaller, and speaking of age from the look, you can tell that she is the youngest. She is so smart; the moves and the coordination are what surprise me the most.

LITTLE PRINCESS ABASIOFON

Her friend's, my other neighbour's child, is very smart too; she was given the mic for a voiceover representative in her class.

MOTHERS DANCE FLOOR

Lastly, not actually the last, but this session is the last my camera captured. Mothers were called out to dance, and they did so well. I would have talked more about this, but let's delve towards something I noticed: why are men not always present on occasions? The reason why I so much love and appreciate @benton3 He finds time to be present on occasions; I could remember the majority of my school parties; Mum was always present, and Dad scarcely showed up. If possible, I would love a better life for men where you can dedicate your time to having fun with your family.

PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION

The mantle of becoming a photographer on this occasion rested on my shoulder, and here I am displaying this talent, I made excellent shot; I know @bossj23 will be proud of this.

Wow, it seems very interesting to see the children's activities on stage, they are still small but already dare to appear in front of many people. An interesting and joyful School party.
