“SCL / S12W2: Effective Classroom Management”

Hello @everyone accept special greetings from this end of globe, to precise Cameroon 🇨🇲.It’s another opportunity to participate in this teachers and students lesson this week3 . Once more welcome to my blog as I share with people my experience as teacher .As the topic for the day discuss is “Effective classroom management “.

As a teacher really there are alots that you needs to take into consideration. To have conducive learning environments .Mismanagement of a setting a classroom can led in effective learning and communication process with student.

My answers below will be centered on the guided question given from the lesson .I hope you all will find pleasure reading through my contest.

Classroom management refers to situation where a teacher or an instructor organized classroom or student conducive for learning with any hindrance to teaching .Ensuring learning to to have a good communication skills between the teacher and the students .The aimed is always to achieve a positive result from lessons taught without any major problem. Class management need to be a very key important aspect for instructors because it determines the effectiveness of a lesson or classroom setting .

As a teacher I make sure my lesson note are well prepared to be taught for a particular day as programmed .Also, having a good mastery of my subject and lesson to be taught .Making sure I have prepared myself well to deliver the lesson. Also making sure didactic materials are a visible to demonstrate during my lessons in class .It can be pictures , chart , objects etc.

Teaching skill should be the one students will easily understand.My teaching method teaching is always very simple and understanding to students .All these brings a good management and conducive environment for teaching .

What I do as teacher to create a good learning atmosphere is that immediately I entered in the class I make sure the classroom is in good hygienic condition conducive for learning .Knowing the state of mind of students .Just reading from their faces you will know if there are prepared or not . The first thing is I tried to bring an interesting story related to the topic be to taught .Make sure the students interacts well before I start with the lesson for the day.

At this points you see the class very interactive .This is because I give the chance to be interactive and my stories I ask questions and they are anxious to participates . Also, I always ask them to tell me their worries at the beginning of the class because Somme student might have family issues or personal problems disturbing them.

They are psychologically disturb no matter how you teach .As an instructor one needs to encouraged and advised for a conducive learning .With this planning properly I enter into lesson of the day .You find student very attentive and ready to learn.Giving a good classroom management for a teacher .

All is not about giving lessons as a teacher.I always try to know the students start of mind before the classes start probably by bring them back to class and teaching lessons.

Firstly , we have the Size of the classroom and number of students matters a lot .Imagine a teacher in class to control over 200hundred students .It’s very difficult classrooms management can be easily achieve .Even the students packed in a small classroom find it difficult and there is no comfortability .

Secondly, lack of mastery of subject by the teacher.They are some students naturally intelligent when you are teaching well they will always .When students discover you don’t have the mastery of your subject and under able to teach .They become less interested in your lessons when you are in class .Don’t be that teacher who will always copy note without explaining.You make students hate your subject and will never concentrate in class.

Thirdly, Handling situations in class .you will always have students who are bullying others or noise maker .Know how to treat of you take the hard way the students will never allow to teach or might stop attending your classes .I remembered one my students who was always bullying others .I caution him in a case and told him tomorrow he will be punished.Almost one week he was in school but escaping to attend my lessons .This is because he is afraid to be punished.

Fourthly, Noise makers in background as students when teaching . They are some students they like disturbing when classes are going on .At times it hinder effective teaching and learning on the side of the students .I always make sure I stop all these when to make them know .when a teacher is teaching you make listen as a students not making noise .

Related contract is all about been able to manage your class as teacher based on knowing how to manage different students behavior and maintaining a good consistent learning relationship with students .It makes the student to have a good state of mind of learning in a conducive environment.Therefore, when there is effective classroom management by the teacher .It help the students to easily comprehend the lessons given with no problem.
