THE DIARY GAME - THE SEASON3-THE NEVERENDING SEASON-@paraclator26- TUESDAY 27th OCTOBER, 2020.//MY DIARY ENTRY(SET AT 100% POWER UP
PROLOGUE
Dear diary, It was really a bad day and a month some will label black month here in Nigeria. No doubt you also understand why i haven't been around to make posts, because we are really sad that the protest many died for turned out to be a means to an end to some hoodlums who took advantage of the unrest and rub people of their valuables, even banks were not excused of this wicked act. The response from the government wasn't funny at all. People were forced on a 24 hours curfew and later a compulsory clean up that lasted almost the whole day, i spent the whole day at home. Even while at home i wasn't safe at all as my supposed pet dragged river Niger down my chicks...
THE SAD STORY
I sluggishly wake up this morning around 5:20am and remembered the sad announcement that there will be a clean up exercise in Abia state, aimed at cleaning the entire street that was ruined by the activities of the hoodlums and the protesters, so i decided to sleep back on my bed.
Few minutes later i heard a knock on my door, that was Dad who always makes sure the gate is open at 6:00 am, so he first seek to hear from the key bearer first before other things. And so i woke up and rushed down stairs to open the gate and to take hurricane (our dog) back to its base. Little did i know the chain was weak at this time, i left it there and climbed upstairs to consider our daily text. Minutes later i heard people shouting downstairs and hurricane barking so loud...
This is hurricane
This is the mischievous hurricane
A better look of hurricane
I managed to rush out to the direction of the noise only see that hurricane arrested two visitors coming to see our neighbour early that morning. Before my arrival to the scene my neighbour had made forceful attempt to release his visitor and that made hurricane to be more determined not to release the arrested person. When i arrived the scene hurricane barked at me and i managed to plea this time without using a cane and to my plea hurricane immediately allowed the trouser he seized earlier. The visitors could not see their friend again, they left the gate without looking back, you need to see how people were raining container load of blames on me, for not making sire the chain was tight enough before leaving. So i ask for assistance to chain oga hurricane back and that i got. So we used a barb wire to fortify the chain. At about 12:50 i heard yet another loud barking at this time i was convinced another arrest was successful because hurricane cant just bark for no just cause, but this time it wasn't human but the confused animal i don't know weather to classify as domestic or wild animal,(Rat) because of its mischievous attitude. So i allowed hurricane to complete the hunt, I never knew i just signed a contract for my doom. Hurricane chased the rat to the car parked at the compound and the rat went under the car, hurricane tear the leather used in covering the spare tyre of the SUV,
[The necked suv spare tire]
The Suv tire that hurricane ruin its cover
I decided to assist hurricane in the hunt, so we killed the rat though i was angry the i lost the tyre cover but then i am happy, so i decided to take hurricane back to his base only to find out that the chain was completely broken and that the only thing left on thr neck was the bracelet. I immediately reached out for him to grab the bracelet, then and there was made visible yet another destruction and that was a hard teeth scratch on the body of the same car i painted just before the lockdown. Chai! Was the next thing because i couldn't do anything at the moment
The deep teeth scratch from hurricane on the paint of the car
The anger in me was so intense that i have to use a key to improvise a hook and then lock the chain alongside the bracelet even if it can be loosen again i don't just care because hurricane has really made me sad. I climbed upstairs and fell asleep almost immediately just to ease off the frustration.
The improvised hang of the chain with a key
I woke up at about 4:20 pm , and that suggests i missed the afternoon news! With the frustration there in i decided to take a view of the street and know how the street is and probably to see if i can handpick people that might have listened to the news so as to be sure that there is movement tomorrow as the street is quite busy, so i immediately sighted a neighbour whom i asked and he said there is movement, he even gave me what seem to him as affirmation to what he said but to me it was a bad news.
passersby on the street
a look on the street
He said people went their normal business, the whole market opened and people did their normal business as a matter of fact i am coming back from my shop he said. That really upset me more. So i wasted my time at home while other went about their business? Why did thry even announce this nonsense and now i didn't do anything today. Chai! Na wow oo
I left there and went to a nearby joint to cool off. I ordered a bottle of 33 larger beer and then a plate of abacha (african salad) so i cooled off

EPILOGUE
It was really terrible, but in all things we strive to seek a way and be happy, and to thank God for the precious gift of life. It is he who is alive is meant to be faced with challenges, he who doesn't want challenges should hasten up and die so that he will sleep and never wake up to meet challenges. The greater moment of laughter is still on the way so no matter the challenges we keep pushing it .

It have been a terrific day for you. Hurricane has proven he is a very strong dog by ruining the tire cover and scratching off paint of the SUV with it's teeth.
It's a good thing the protests has taken a good turn and we pray it gets better. Your pet is really amazing and protective, no one can harm you with him around. Invite me for your next cool out venture. Thanks for sharing
