Introduction

Hello steemit friends, how're you guys coping with the harmattan season? At the moment, the atmosphere in Lagos is dry and a little bit cold, but bearable.

Granted, we're in the season of travels during which people travel from place to place, from one state to another especially by bus transportation.

It is also commonplace during this season to find most bus terminals very busy and crowded with passengers who are either embarking or disembarking from buses, and with their luggages or personal effects being moved from one place to another as well.

At this point, i am going to share with you just few of these busy activities that i captured in some bus terminals here in Lagos during this season that people are already moving to and fro different places with their luggages.

BUS TERMINAL(PPL)

The name of the transport company that uses this terminal situated in PPL, Lagos is called Gombawa Motors FGN with REG. NO, 181. In fact, i captured the activities going on in this terminal towards the evening time when the transport company was busy attending to their passengers in preparation to embark on a night trip to the northern part of Nigeria.

This terminal, as at the time i captured it, was crowded with passengers who were about travelling from Lagos to the following northern routes: Akwanga, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa-Yola, and the company's phone no is written on a wooden box placed on the roof of the bus where the company's routes are written.

Another group of people that contributed to that busy environment were hawkers, luggage loaders and motor park touts who were seen all around the terminal arranging and loading various luggages belonging to passengers, also these touts were desperately searching for passengers who wanted to travel through any of the northern routes that the company operates.

When i asked the ticket master how much was the transport fare from their Lagos terminal - Adamawa, he told me that it was 15,000 naira, while from Lagos- Jos and Bauchi is 13,000 naira.
The following images depict how very busy the bus terminal was as at the time i captured it, with the same what3words.

BUS TERMINAL: PPL

Another transport company known as Silver Luxury Tavel And Freight shares this same bus terminal with the first one aforementioned. The route that this luxury bus operates is Lagos- Kaduna, and the fare is 13,000 naira, according to the ticket master that i asked.

This same terminal in PPL shared by this second transport company called Silver Luxury Travel And Freight with the first transport company i have discussed about at the onset, was still very busy as at the time i captured the image as passengers who were travelling were hanging around watching over their luggages. Besides, touts were also on hand around the terminal arranging the seats and passengers' luggages, loading the luggages inside the luxury's side boot, as usual.

At a certain point, some of the passengers standing by and looking after their baggages and personal effects became impatient over the delays they experienced on the part of the loaders who were arranging and putting the loads inside the luxury bus.

The trip at this point in time was scheduled to be a night one.

BUS TERMINAL: GUO TRANSPORT COMPANY

In this transport company, the trip was scheduled to be in the morning from Lagos - Onitsha, however, the passengers that came to this terminal for their trip seemed to feel very disappointed as the only bus available as at the time they wanted to embark on their journey developed a major fault right there at the park.

Of course, it can be very irritating and frustrating to experience that kind of setback while trying to embark on a journey especially after paying through one's nose to travel to one's destination, the fare was 13,100 from Lagos- Onitsha.
The following image depicts the passengers who arrived at the bus terminal situated at Alaba International, Lagos looking worried over the next line of action to take after the bus that was supposed to take them to their destinations broke down in the park before they could leave that morning.

At this point in time, the passengers who were available at the terminal to make that trip to Onitsha that morning were just few in number, meanwhile most of the company's buses have already departed with passengers prior to that time.
Check out the images of the faulty bus at the terminal.

Meanwhile, in the event of all of this, GUO transport management made an alternative arrangement for the irate passengers to be put in another bus by bringing another company's branded bus known as Prime Time Shuttle Services.

Below is the side view of the bus.

The loaders in this terminal could be seen loading the bus with the passengers' luggages first of all and afterward the passengers were directed to start boarding the bus one after the other with their tickets in their hands, and the fare was 13,000 naira from Lagos- Onitsha. As the passengers were gradually boarding the bus, one woman among them after taking her seat, was informed by a lady selling the ticket that her little son who was still outside by then playing was about to defecate on the ground, and the ticket lady even helped to take the small child to his mother so that she could take proper care of him.

The lady ticket seller bringing the boy to his mother.

The boy's mother eventually alighted from the bus where she had already sat down and started taking care of her little child before the departure of their vehicle.

When the driver of the bus finally wanted to set off for the trip, he asked the whole passengers to take their seats for the last time, including those that were still hanging around outside .

All the passengers travelling with the bus have already taken their seats and the driver himself was also getting ready to leave the terminal for the journey, except for very few luggages on the ground that were yet to be loaded.
