Introducing 5Times7 - getting rewarded through quality engagement each day!
Introduction
SteemAlive Community takes engagement serious, which is why we are delighted to announce this new project. 5Times7 is a way to say thank you to our members that are really doing well in the area of engagement. 5Times7 is a weekly project that will reward our members that engage with all top 5 posts for the week - and more. This project will replace our SteemALive Engagement League.
5Times7 - What the project is all about
Engagement is a very important aspect of content creation. When we engage with posts in the community, we show appreciation for the effort made in preparing the publication. It is also a way to learn. Most important, it helps our members stay active. Each day we select 5 posts for booming support. In a week that is at least 35 posts. Through 5Times7, we will be rewarding our members that support these selected posts with quality engagement.
How to participate
To participate in this project, all you need to do is comment meaningfully on our top 5 posts for each day. You have to do that for all the top 5 posts selected for the week. We will be checking your comments to ensure they are rich. Short comments like great post, interesting, you had a great day, etc, will not be considered quality engagement. After engaging with the top 5 posts for each day, make sure to drop a comment on the selection post. One of our mods will reply confirmed after checking the comments.
- After commenting on the top 5 posts, there is no need to drop the links again. Just make a comment and mention that you have engaged with all the top 5 selected posts. Then a mod will comfirm and reply your comment.
Taking it further
We want to see Engagement Champions in SteemAlive community. Can you take your engagement further away from the top 5 posts? You can comment meaningfully on other posts not selected in the top 5 category. In that way, you can become and Engagement Champion in Steemalive Community.
We will give extra support to Engagement Champions. So to become an Engagement Champion, here is what you need to do:
Engage with posts not selected in the top 5 category. You can find many of such posts in our community page: https://steemit.com/trending/hive-167622
Make another comment under the top 5 post for the day. Drop a link of the extra posts you commented on, which are not top 5 posts. A mod will condifrm and reply you
Tips on how to make a quality comment
- Patiently read the post from beginning to end
- Reply specific aspects of the post by quoting them in your comment
- Ask questions, share your experience, make an observation, and so on.
- Avoid short comments, they wont be counted
- Always mention the username of the author
The Rewards
Just as we did with SteemALive Engagement League, we will send some steem to participants of 5Time7 at the end of each week. We will also give participants more support through our trail and also selecting their posts more often in the top 5 selections for each. As we watch the progress of this project, we will think of further ways to support participants.
For our Engagement Champions, they will receive extra rewards too at the end of the week for taking engagement further.
Conclusion
You feel sad when your post lack comments, isn't it? On the other hand, you are excited when your posts have comments on them. The truth is that engagement makes Steemit lively. The author feel rewarded, and our members stay active. So be sure of more support from SteemAlive if you participate in this 5Times7 project. @steemitblog would also appreciate your engagement efforts. Together we can do more.
Note: Because of this project, we will be making our Top 5 posts in the morning, preferably before noon. This will give participants of 5Times7 enough time to engage with the selected posts.

Commenting on posts makes the author to always put his best to creativity write more. This therefore makes engagement a very serious and worth doing action.

Sure. This is great because I always feel so happy when people comment on my post and I too I always make it a routine .
This an innovative step further. Engagement via quality and well-informed comments is really the essence of social Media PLATFORMS. I feel bad when I post on Facebook and no comments or likes drops on the post , same with my post on WhatsApp and Instagram. So this fact is also applicable to what happens on steemit Platform. Thanks @steemalive for cogitating this fact. It will go a long way to improving our engagement here
Wow..a great idea I must say. Engagement is one activity one should never exclude him/herself from doing. It'll cause no disadvantage but advantage to both the members and community at large.
