Introduction

Garlic is a plant in the onion family that is grown for it's distinctive taste and health benefits. It contains some sulphur compounds which are believed to be responsible for some of those health benefits.Garlic is low in calories and rich in vitamin C, vitamin B6 and manganese, it also contain trace amounts of other nutrients. Garlic is commonly used for condition related to the heart and blood, it produces a chemical called allicin.

The composition of garlic

The composition of raw garlic is 59% water, 33% carbohydrates, 6% protein, 2% dietary fiber and less than 1% fat

Uses of garlic

Uses for a painful uterine disorder:
Taking garlic powder tablets by mouth daily for 3 months will help improve people with this condition.

Hardening of the arteries: Consistently taking garlic power will help slow the hardening of the arteries.

Diabetes: The intake of garlic will help to reduce high sugar level in people suffering form diabetes ,this can really be effective if taken consistently if taken for a period of 3 months.

High level of cholesterol or other fats in the blood: Taking garlic for aleast 8 weeks can greatly help to reduce high level of cholesterol in the body and other fats in the blood.

High blood pressure: The intake of garlic on a regular basis can help reduce high blood pressure in people suffering from it.

Liver health improvement: The benefits of the intake of garlic cannot be over looked as it helps in the improvement of having a sound and healthy liver to function properly

For gum infection: Taking garlic on a daily basis will help to treat gum infection in people suffering from it.

In the prevention of cancer: Consuming fresh garlic can help reduce the risk of an individual having cancer.

Side effect of garlic

Garlic has its side effects of producing bad breadth which most time recent people from taking it but it can be managed as most people take it after the retire from the days job and the usage of a strong fragrance to off the bad smell associated if it but aside its side effects ,it's benefits are more .

The intake of garlic is very essential to the human body as most health challenges can be prevented from occurring thereby causing breakdown in the human body system, I personally recommend frequent garlic usage because of its numerous health benefits.

The Truth is that garlic have a lot of health benefits. It takes of the heart, controls cholesterol, etc. It one-off my favorite spices when cooking. Thanks for supporting burn Steem project.

Before now i don't take garlic because of its side effects of bad breadth

I have seen many reasons to continue to use garlic, the health benefits is more than the side effects

@yimzyemazor. As a big fan of tumeric ginger and garlic, you did a great research on garlic. Much of garlic causes bad breath, but the health benefits out weighs the side effects. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.

I may never be able to chew raw garlic because of the odour, but I use it in almost all the food I make.
