I must admit that hype around SMTs is making me worried. Seeing how Stinc Inc approached HIVEs makes me wonder if we all do not have unrealistic hopes and expectations.

I also wonder what will be real difference between SE and SMTs. I was told lately that most likely in order to purchase any SMT - user first will have to buy STEEM. So SMT would be pegged to steem. Just like all Steem Engine tokens are.

If that's true - then what's the point of making something so ... kind of useless. I'm not sure what problems SMT would solve, which SE isn't solving so far. It simply means, that SMTs (same as SE) will not allow to bring new users and investors - the only real option will be to focus on existing steem users. Milking the cow.
