Today I have the pleasure to compete in the Tools to Spark Culinary Inspiration #17 contest held by @ninapeda in the Steem for Ladies community. I have always enjoyed cooking and it is my pleasure to get to know tools that inspire in the kitchen. Deciding whether it is equipment that assists in preparing food or specialty ingredients that give a dish a specialty touch counts, the right products foremost the cooking process.

For me, cooking is not only a need or daily requirements, but also a passion my hobby that stands for one of the most valuable activities in my life. Culinary creativity focused on creation of various interesting tasting experiences, fine tuning each recipe, making meals that will make people happy the same way I am when preparing them. Preparing food to the beloved people – friends and family members gives great satisfaction because love is expressed through the preparation of a meal.
I’m all about making friends and family feel good by cooking for them that I love to cook for them. The satisfaction of seeing their face light up with taste of something I’ve put love and effort into. I love experimenting with new dishes or perfecting my traditional recipes, or just pulling together a comforting meal and am excited at every step of the process.

To me, cooking isn’t just about feeding other people, but it is about telling someone how I feel about them, about connecting them with me in a way words cannot. The smiles, the compliments, the times around the dining table that make it all worth it. Cooking makes me feel good I don't know any other activity that makes me feel that good.

What do you understand by "broiling"? Explain the difference between "baking" and "broiling?"

In broiling, the food is placed close to the top of the hot oven, or other heat source. Being honest it’s great for quick and easy cooking or browning of food, such as when you want a crisp crust on meat, a golden top on casseroles, or the perfect melted cheese. Broiling is effectively done at high temperatures to produce grilled like taste and texture.

How the heat is applied is the difference between broiling and baking. Utilizing consistent, even heat from all sides of the oven to slowly cook food is the perfect baking to make cake, or bread, or casserole. Broiling, however, heats from above — from very high heat — and directs the heat onto the surface for foods that need to be quickly cooked or browned. There's a big difference between baking and broiling – baking is all about gradual cooking and broiling rapidly achieving that perfect finish or sear.

What are the four essentials of good cooking?

For me Good cooking rests on four essential things: good ingredients, the right technique, seasoning and time with a pan and presentation.

Quality Ingredients: Fresh, high quality ingredients are where true greatness begins. Even a skilled cook is limited by what they can work with, and the quality of what you take for granted is the key to the taste and texture of your kitchen.

Proper Technique: For the dishes it is proper to know how to cook the right way We should also remember some of the recipes so that when we are cooking we don’t go astray. This is were the right method counts so that the food is cooked properly as well as the ingredients getting the best out of them.

Seasoning: The seasoning of a dish is important and key. Salt and herbs and spices help make the food's natural flavor better yet in balance and harmonious. A simple dish gets that much more extraordinary with the right seasoning.

Presentation: Lastly, it’s how you present it. The very fact is: eating a well plated meal does more than look appetizing, it further enhances the dining experience. Attention to detail, care and show in good presentation is a real plus when you make the food more palatable even before you take your first mouthful.

Together these four things make for a dish that is not only delicious but memorable.

The four essential of safe food handling include the following behaviors which should be followed so that there will be minimal cases of food borne illness.

Clean: The first principle of safe food handling is often referred to as cleanliness; cleanliness is next to godliness. This entails therefore washing your hands before and after preparing food and washing other utensils you have been using to prepare the food regularly.

Separate: Avoid contact between raw foods especially meat with the ready to eat foods such as vegetables or fruits, to avoid contamination. Ever used another pair of knives for your raw foods and another for cooked foods and different chopping boards; you minimize the spread of bacteria.

Cook: Second, food should reach the appropriate temperature needed to destroy dangerous bacteria and viruses. A food thermometer helps to confirm that the required internal temperature is attained with food particularly meat.

Store properly: Proper storage of food products on the refrigerator also play a very important role as this reduces contraction of bacteria. Storing cold food and keeping cold is a key requirement in order to prevent food from getting spoiled. Avoid cross contamination strongly and always avoid exposing food to room temperature for long.

These four behaviors – clean, separate, cook and store properly – have been adopted to minimize instances of contracting food borne illnesses while we partake our delicious meals.
