Today, I will share a recipe in the 👉Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, Origami, DIY, Recycling, and more competitions organized by the respected member of the Steem for Ladies community @ngoenyi mam.
Bangladesh is a country of seasonal diversity. One by one, six distinct seasons with six unique shapes arrive in Bangladesh. Now, the winter season has arrived wrapped in a blanket of fog. Winter means the atmosphere of pithapuli everywhere. Today, I will share with you the recipe for coconut puli pitha.
🥟Ingredients required for making coconut puli pitha🥟
2 cups rice powder
1 cup coconut shell
2 cups date molasses
Salt as quantity
Oil 250gm
🥟Preparation method🥟
√ To make coconut puli pitha, first make the pitha filling. Put a pan on the heat to prepare the pitha's filling first. Then, put the chopped date molasses and coconut shell in the pan.
√ Reduce the heat of the stove and stir the coconut shell and jaggery. If you cook it for some time, the date molasses will melt and some water will come out of the coconut shell.
√ Turn down the flame and keep stirring to dry the water. When the pitha filling becomes sticky, turn off the stove. Now, the pitha filling is ready. I set aside to cold it.
√ I now set up a second pot to make the flour dough on the burner. The saucepan was filled with two glasses of water. I mixed the water with a teaspoon of salt and stirred it well. When the water reaches a boil, I add the flour to it.
√ I will mix the flour with the water well to make a dough. I will use the right amount of water to make a perfect dough. After mixing the flour dough well, I will cool it slightly.
√ When the flour dough is slightly cold, I will knead it well by stirring it with my hands. After stirring the dough for some time, a dough for pitha will be prepared.
√ Now I took the right amount of flour dough to make roti. Using the dough, I formed round rotis. Therefore, the roti made for pitha cannot be made too thin or thick. The thickness of the bread should be kept medium.
√ Now I cut the round bread into small pieces by placing it in any round-shaped container. Then I added the coconut filling prepared for the pitha.
√ After adding the coconut filling, I pressed the face of the pitha well with my hands. Then I pressed it with a slotted spoon and made a beautiful design on the face of the pitha. I will make all the pitha in the same way.
√ When all the pitha are ready, I will heat the oil in a pan on the stove. When the oil becomes slightly hot, I will drop the coconut puli pitha in the oil. I'll stir-fry the pitha until it becomes golden over medium heat.
√ When both sides of the pitha are browned, I drain the oil with the help of a strainer. Now the coconut puli pitha is ready.
