Criss-cross stitched heart

Materials required:

1. Cardboard
2. Embroidery thread (pink, red and light blue)
3. Beads (white)
4. Sewing pin (big)
5. Water color Paint
6. Black sketch pen

Step1 :

Sketch out a circle on the cardboard in black

Step2 :

Now cut out the circle using a scissor

Step3 :

Now paint the Frontline completely it in baby pink colour by mixing white and pink acrylic paint.

Step4 :

Using a black sketch pen draw a heart in the centre leaving space in the sides. Then before it dries out, overcoat thr cicle again with baby pink colour to get the faded look. Make sure to stroke the brush from top to bottom direction alone.

Step5 :

Now using an sewing pin make evenly spaced holes along the online of the heart. Then poke holes along the circumference of the circle. And make another circle of poking along the circumference of the 1st holes made.

Step6 :

Now using the pink thread stitch the heart in a crisscross pattern, threading from hole to the other.

Step7 :

Now stich the outline of the thread using red thread neatly

Step8 :

Finally make the border using 2 equally long sized light blue thread and beads. Tie one end of the 2 threads into a knot. Then using a sewing pin pull up one thread in the hole of the outer circumference and the other through the inner circumference. Now knot them again and put in a bead through both of it. Knot them again. Now again split the threads and put one thread through the outer circumference and the other through the inner circumference.

Next pull up the thread from inner circumference from behind through the outer circumference and the vice versa, using a sewing pin. This gives it a crisscross pattern. Follow this method till a the circle has been given a beautiful boarder design. Then tie a knot out of the two threadsto secure the design. Hence our beautiful crisscross threaded heart is ready.
