My pregnancy journey

Today I'll be talking about my pregnancy journey from the first trimester to the third trimester.
Months ago i found out i was pregnant it was a thing of joy to us.
Me and hubby celebrated this gift of life, We were fully ready and prepared to handle all the responsibilities that comes with it so it was worth celebrating.
First trimester
They first few months was challenging, my hormones began changing due to the new life journey although challenging, it was better sweet.
My eating routine changed i began craving for food i never knew existed. When the morning sickness comes up, it wasn't a funny experience but as the saying goes "good things don't come easily"
I registered for my antenatal and attended religiously. Check my routine drugs seriously, then on my third month my system start adjusting to accommodate this new life i began feeling better and stronger.
I discover that first trimester is when the brain developed so it is very important to do all the advice your health practitioners gives. My first trimester was from the first week to 12th weeks i pulled through it with happiness because i know it is worth all the hard work.
Second trimester
Second trimester was bliss when my body started adjusting back accommodating the new life became easy I started getting used to taking my morning routine drugs.
The morning sickness started fading away that is why I said it was bliss, beautiful pregnant glow started popping up.
You can see it from my face the happiness in my heart was overwhelming having this precious gift grow inside of me was a dream come true. At this point I didn't take my appointment in the hospital for granted I make sure I attend all your appointment all the checkups and it was when I did my first scan.
Guess what? At this stage of my pregnancy my baby bum started being visible when I wore gowns. It was a miracle something I have always admired. I also learned that at this point all my babies physical features has been fully develop. This include the arms, the legs, the eyes, the eyelid the mouth and all others. This is from the 13th week to 27th weeks, by this time my little miracle has started kicking. The journey to the third trimester begins.

Third Trimester
As my pregnancy journey continues at this point i have gone through new experiences both the challenging ones and the sweet side of it. But gladly my loving husband was always there with me every step of the way. My body began changing. Stretch mark set in but i took all this as a beautiful mark to motherhood.
I continue attending my antenatal class. At this point my appointment was no longer once in a month but every week. I had already bought all the things required by an expectant mother from the hospital list. So on my 37 week i decided to pack my hospital bag.

- baby blanket
- cord clamp
- baby dress
- waterproof pant
- baby powder
- face towel
- small cup with lid
- baby mosquito net
mother's Essentials
- Packets of sanitary pad
- toilet rolls
- carrat medicated soap
- big towel
- nightgown
- pair of slippers
- wrappers
- drinking cup
- olive oil
- methylated spirit
- purit liquid antiseptic
- pairs of glove
- a tin of glucose
- cotton wool
- Battle of jik
- disposable pant
I packed all this in my bag and prepared my mind for labour and delivery, although I'm still waiting to see my baby, I fully hope I will carry my baby soon.
The journey wasn't easy but I went through it, you too can do it, if you trying to conceive (TTC) or you are pregnant already, never give up continue doing things you are supposed to do, pray, eat healthy, take enough fluids, be consistent in your supplement, visit a gynecologists.
From my experience, I will say pregnancy journey is bitter sweet, it worth all the struggles and challenges I pray and hope to have a healthy baby. Wishing myself a safe delivery. And thank you for visiting my blog.

Pregnancy journey is a journey that every married woman wants to go through. Having your baby at hand is a joy that knows no bound. Sometimes when i see a pregnant woman that the stomach is like touching the ground, i will just take my eyes off immediately. I don't want to increase the fear i already have about it. You will deliver a sound and healthy baby, and bring her to the steemians family. Good luck
