For the past seven months my cousin Junaid Khan has been battling a difficult case of aplastic anemia. Our family has been through a really trying period because his treatment cost 65 lakh rupees which is a significant sum of money. We made every effort to organize the money but it didn't seem possible. We felt totally powerless while my mamu and his family were under a lot of stress. Then however an incredible event occurred. Finally, after months of hardship, prayer and ceaseless work Allah granted our requests. We received a 65 lakh rupee payment from the government to cover Junaid medical expenses. It seemed miraculous when my mother got the check. We were grateful to Allah and ecstatic. With this money Junaid treatment could finally start and our optimism for his recovery was renewed. However we are both happy and afraid because tomorrow will bring Junaid significant test results.

The results of this test will determine whether or not the doctors can proceed with the bone marrow transplant. In the event that the test is negative treatment will begin right away. However if the test is positive the transplant cannot go place and we are left with no assurance. Our family is now in a very difficult and unpleasant situation as a result of this. Although we are appreciative of the assistance we have received concern weighs heavily on our hearts. We implore Allah to grant Junaid health and strength and pray for a miracle all the time. The uncertainty and waiting are difficult.is destroying us but we are clinging to our faith and hope. Please remember to pray for Junaid. We believe that Allah hears every call and that dua has great power. We pray for the best result and have faith in Allah plan no matter what. May He lessen our family suffering and provide Junaid a quick recovery.
