Well, I am a mustard fan. Not the mustard you get in the squeeze bottles, but the ones you still get in the old tradition glass pots with the seeds, whole grain mustard. It has such a robust flavor.
Oh yummy! It is delicious with icebein.
As for cranberry flavor mustard.. umh. It sounds nice.
Thank you for participating this week.
Best wishes.
I think many of our likes and dislikes form when we are children and taste them from such early age, there are of course, some taste that we may develop later like Olives I tasted them first time I was more than 25 y.o and fell in love with them, my hubby still does not like Olives.
Since I tried both mustard types in tube as a paste but also now those with seeds i also prefer them and who knows might find some dishes that will be tasting good with them :)
I make the following mustard sauce with Christmas.
Mustard sauce:
• The yolk of 3 egg
• 1 tablespoon vinegar
• 3 teaspoon mustard with seeds
• 4 tablespoons sugar
• ½ cup stock (beef or chicken)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the egg yolks, vinegar, mustard, and sugar. Beat with a hand mixer. Transfer to a small saucepan and pour in the stock. Whisk and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool down.
It is delicious with cold meat. (•ิ‿•ิ)
