Hello, lovely ladies! I am pleased to find this competition because, in today's society, both our children, girls and boys, suffer severely from abusers and victimization. Therefore, to protect them from abuse and trauma, they must learn the difference between good and bad touch. Now let’s move to the topic.

Explain the difference between good touch and bad touch.

Good touch comes with a sensation of safety, love, and happiness. Good touch always comes from our family members, particularly our parents, siblings, and close friends. Parents hugging, holding hands with trustworthy people, and receiving kisses from family members are all examples of good touch. These are culturally acceptable and touch on respect for boundaries. These good touches are filled with affection, support, and caring without causing suffering.

Bad touches make a child feel uneasy, scared, or confused. Bad touches are defined as touching in private parts without consent and with force. These touches cross boundaries and happen in secrecy. Those who perform these touches are asked to keep them a secret because they are harmful touches.

What measures should girls adopt to avoid bad touch?

To avoid such bad touches, girls should be brave enough to shout ‘NO’ when someone tries to touch their private areas. The most important thing is that girls should be educated about bad touches first. When girls are subjected to such touching, they should inform that to their adults, and then they will the action to avoid such incidents in the future. If the girl feels that some area is unsafe or uncomfortable, she should move away from that place. We can’t predict the places where girls will be abused in this type of incident, but we can educate them about where they will be abused and how to avoid such circumstances.

At what age should we teach children about touch?

According to my knowledge, we can teach them when they are very young, between the ages of three and five. We can begin by teaching children about their physical parts, specifically the good and bad places. We can explain the idea of personal spaces to children in simple words that they can understand. When they grow, we can teach them more and constantly remind them. The idea of these actions is to teach them how to be safe from abusers.

How to know that this touch is the wrong touch, express your opinion.

When someone gets bad touches, they become frightened and unhappy because it happens without their consent. Such touches make individuals feel unsafe and hurt. Furthermore, those touches are mostly happened secretly. Abuses are requested to keep it a secret. In today's society, children are repeatedly subjected to child abuse from uncles, grandfathers, and neighbors. Therefore, it is very important to teach them at a young age about these bad touches. They should also be taught to talk openly about such wrong touches with their teachers, parents, and other trustworthy adults.
