SLC S21W1 | Cleansing, face types and necessary implements to make good makeup.

I'm pleased to take part in the Season 21 Learning Challenge Course - Cleansing, Face Types, and Necessary Implements to Make Good Makeup organized by @almacaridad. There were many things that I learned today, what are the different types of brushes and what are they used for. In my opinion, learning the basic techniques is essential to achieve a flawless makeup look. It's a great opportunity and very grateful to have these classes here on the Steemit platform.

💄 As established in the previous module, analyze what type of skin you have, how you should take care of it, and what type of products you should use for that type of skin.

Identifying the type of skin is really important for me to choose the right products that match my skin. I have normal skin, so I just use products that are suitable for normal skin. When it comes to skincare, I am cautious about the products I'm using for my skin. We should always do better research on the product before purchasing to check if it really suits our skin type especially because there are a variety of products in the market for different skin types. We can use the help of YouTube reviews on a product to avoid making purchases blindly.

With normal skin, I do not use many products I just have a simple skincare routine. I believe we should always follow a skincare routine that suits our lifestyle. Caring for our skin is crucial for maintaining youthful glowing skin. Here is a quick look at my skincare routine:

1) Cleanse

I use the Cetaphil cleanser to remove any impurities in my skin. I have been using this product for a while because it's gentle on my skin and free from harsh chemicals and fragrances.

2) Scrub

I scrub my face once a week. I use a DIY Coffee and honey scrub it gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells on my skin.

3) Tone

After the scrub, I use an Ice cube as a natural Toner to tighten my skin.

4) Moisturize

I apply Cetaphil moisture, It keeps my skin soft and supple throughout the day.

Hydration is a must when it comes to skincare. Not just using products or outer care is enough. We should always have a balanced diet and drinking at least one Litre of water is essential to maintain healthy skin.

Learning to contour has been a challenging task for me, especially when trying to figure out the right contouring spots on my face. I have an oval-shaped face. I usually contour the area under my cheekbones and slightly along the corners of my forehead and also the sides of my chin. Then, I use a highlighter on my forehead, slightly on the tops of my cheeks, the bridge of my nose, and the chin.

Some apps helped me a lot to identify the contouring spots based on the shape of my face. It makes contouring a fun task and really enhances the final makeup look that I prefer.

💄 According to the necessary implements to achieve good makeup, which of them you knew previously and which ones you use frequently; Did you use it correctly? Which ones do you think are really essential when applying makeup. Explain your answer.

I was familiar with the essential makeup tools that I use frequently. Before applying any makeup, I usually prep my skin by doing my skincare routine. I believe it's always the right base that shows the neatness of the makeup. After using skincare products, I apply a primer. Primer helps us to even out our skin and prevent pores from clogging. Then, I cover my dark circles with a color corrector followed by concealer to cover any spots or blemishes on my skin.

I use the foundation brush to make sure the liquid spreads out evenly on my skin. I prefer to use the brush more than the blending sponge. I feel it gives me a more natural skin tone. Then, I use a good powder brush to set the foundation. For my eyebrows, I first use the brow spoolie to comb the eyebrows in shape, and then by using an angled brush I fill in my eyebrows.

Eye makeup is my favorite part when doing makeup. I use eye shadow brushes to blend the colors smoothly across my eyelids creating a seamless look.

In my opinion, the most essential tools when doing makeup are the foundation brush, powder brush, and eye shadow brushes are more than enough to get a polished look without any need for any extra items.

💄 As explained in the previous module, if you will need to apply concealer (a liquid or cream product) to correct an imperfection, which of the implements you think you could use for your application and which for blending. Explain your answer.

If I need to apply concelor to correct an imperfection, I would use a flat concelor brush to apply it evenly. A flat concealer brush would be ideal to cover any blemishes in the face like under the eyes or around the nose. For blending I would use a fluffy blending brush to spread out the product evenly and seamlessly on my skin. Without leaving any harsh lines on my face.

By using these two brushes we can effectively cover any imperfections of the skin while having an even finish look.
