The Diary Game #29: Share your day with us! - Fighting Windmills

It's one of those days, a day everything get broken, works against me. It's not even Friday the 13th.

It is March and the weather is not as good as predicted but good enough to do two machines of laundry (12 kg). Who does it all belong to I wonder? It's definitely not mine and there is more (jumpers).

I had a bad, short night. The battle with Steemit is falling foul. No idea where my comments, thebgiven upvotes and my notifications have gone. It feels as if I'm fighting like Don Quixote against windmills, it feels like a waste of time.

The internet connection is a struggle, every 10 minues the connection is down!

Samsung informs me to update the browser. This is not a free choice, as I get disconnected. After the update, the browser shuts down every 10-15 counts! I keep trying, boot my phone, leave 1 star for the browser on playstore where it's claimed the bug is solved, delete the cache but get zero response. More eindmills to fight! Bye Samsung I am deleting you from my phone!
I try another browser which works so it's not my phone. Collecting all the passwords is quite a hassle and a bit of concentration is required.

It gets later and later and I ignore the call from Ireland, which can only be a scammer.

Meanwhile, I wonder if the washing machine's cesspool is not overflowing and I also have to mow the lawn today.🤔

Securus messages overflood my inbox. Logging in is still a misery, regularly I get the 'we are experiencing problems and are working on it' notificatiin on my screen. It gets later and I quickly read a message from the inmate I once wrote to but who gave my address to his mate! Repentance surely comes after sin, and he has clearly learnt nothing: I miss you and I'm sorry I didn't write to you anymore, passed on your address, please give me another chance! That's how much I care about you (beautiful woman <-- I make that up on the spot to boost my mood ;) but I did get a card from a dog and cat ;). I am NOT jealous but sad that you are now writing with my friend.

I send the mate with 20 tattoos 2 sheets of windmills. On one paper are windmills in the Netherlands (a few out of 1,200) and the other sheet contains tattoos of windmills, including the body parts of Dutch people (?) I am curious where he will tattoo a windmill but won't ask.

The Dutch expression 'walking with windmills' is not out of the blue.

I wonder if the fantasist (positively meant he writes stories) I write with might be Don Quixote fighting windmills.

BTW, those windmills are far from bad. I wish I had one for a home. There is a windmill for every character that is apparent. Guess, what my favourite windmills are.

As I write, Securus shuts down and of course not a word of what I wrote is saved! It's not the first time, by the way. Grrrr. Never fix anything that isn't broken!
Why 'draft' if this box always remains empty ? The number of times I wrote online and all my text was gone is innumerable. What a waste of time. I decide to keep my seconf letter short, I write in my notebook and try copy-paste. An hour later, it's done (for so far fast).

Pffff my friend would say.🥴

My dear son calls and is bored to death at school we talk gor a while.
Bye dear, I am out of here, I'm going to hang two baskets with laundry outside and mow grass (and weeds).

The cat still is not back yet, is she giving birth in a corner somewhere?

The electric lawnmower smokes and is at fire. So I didn't mow much. The piece of grief I parked by the barn door, my son may take off the usable parts later. This is the 8th mower? I couldn't care less by now.

There is a dead cat in the shed. Esuh and I look at it. Did she fall from the attic? I don't see any injury just an oozing body. Gases in a dead body is very common. I put down the manger. 'Bon appetite sir, and remove the dead cadaver. Is this my cat?

'The lawnmower is broken and the cat is dead' I text my son. He calls because even though he follows a lesson at school there's no one teaching. The teacher has not forgotten the class but is still chatting with someone in the corridor. What a lousy job! According to my son they are poisoning cats again!

Generating images is not easy, two options: I'm stupid or AI is. I go for AI pixlr or so does a terrible job, not one prompt right.

Time to get the laundry inside before the cold wets it again, even though it's late, I'm going to clean the kitchen cupboard shelves because I'm fed up with the ashes of the woodstove flying around everywhere. Cold or not I'm not heating the house anymore I'll just grab a hot water bottle.

The Tomcat complains.
'Go to your boss, Poppy's dead and Yddy's not around', I tell the cat who suddenly adopted my lap even though the fat boy is annoyed because of my belly being in his way, which is not a reason to avoid me by the way.

Tomorrow's another day and if not it's no problem either and I'll stay in bed.
