Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to this latest edition of our Caturday update... time to share more cute photos of the kittens who became part of our home about five weeks ago!

Do I HAVE to be in charge of them?

So far, everyone continues to get along quite well, and the kittens — who are more like "young cats" by now — have the full run of the house, except for one room we think of as "Smudge's retreat" because she is so old and lacks the agility and mobility to handle very young cats for more than a few minutes at a time.

Smudge mostly takes the presence of young cats in her stride.

Much of this week was about the kittens' getting to explore the downstairs area of the house fully.

The Hoomans waited until they were well settled in, because the downstairs have so many good hiding places, and we didn't want the wee ones to crawl into some hole under furniture and be hard to get out again.

We are very happy with our little cats who have turned out to both have really gentle and sweet personalities.

It was also a good thing that we adopted them both because they are very bonded and close, and it would have been a shame to split them up.

Even though it has only been about five weeks, the kittens have grown a lot. As I said, they are more like "young cats" by now.

Shangri looks like he's going to grow into quite a large cat... he has very big paws that he still needs to "grow into!"

Shadow has done very well as "play uncle" for the youngsters

Shadow has adapted quite well to Shangri and Nala being part of the household. He has always been quite a social cat... but when he has had enough of their eternal energy, he still has favorite spots around the house he likes to "retire" to, for a bit of peace and quiet.

The Mom-Hooman went out of town this weekend, so it has been up to the Dad-Hooman to wrangle the whole "herd of cats" this weekend!

So far, he has done a good job of making sure everyone gets enough attention and treats and playtime. Thankfully he has experience in living with multiple cats!

Shangri is always curious about the birds in the trees outside!
