Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

I hope this weekend finds you happy and healthy! It's Saturday today... and Saturday means CATURDAY, my favorite day of the week! Time to share some cat photos!

Hoping for things to look up!

Things have been rather glum around here, since the death of Daisy the dog. It turned out that life had more in store for us!

Now it looks like the Hoomans are also facing some major car repair. On top of which, the Daughter-Hooman is also facing some serious personal health issues... just to add to the load of worries.

Sometimes it gets difficult to stay cheerful!

But we find ourselves at the start of a new month, and summer is almost here!

On the positive side of things, the talk about getting a new kitten — or maybe two! — since Daisy is no longer with us has become a bit more active.

It would be nice to have some new life in the house... but it's unlikely it will happen before a couple of trips the Hoomans have planned for July.

Smudge!

I'm not sure what Smudge will think of having kittens around at her age — she's 19 — but she's pretty good at taking care of her space, and she has some good safe napping places, should she get tired of having youngsters crawling all over her!

Personally, I think it could be a lot of fun to have someone to run through the house with... even though kittens do have an awful lot of energy!

Considering my options!

Most likely, the Hoomans will adopt a couple of kittens from the local animal shelter. There are lots of young cats and kittens who need a good "forever home, and we want to do our part!

It would be best if we could get a couple of littermates who are already used to each other. It's also a lot cheaper to adopt two cats at the same time.

We'll see how it goes... but kittens would definitely mean a lot more cute cat photos to share!

Meanwhile... it was nice to see our Steem token rise a bit recently... and then it was sad to see it drop right back to where it was before. Seems to be a bit of a patterns, for the last couple of years.

We all remain hopeful that there will be an actual "Alt. coin rally" in the not too distant future. Should happen, if you subscribe to the 4-year cycle theory.
