"Estudios Radiológicos "
Hello to all my steemian friends,
Today I am very happy to share my post on a very informative topic, "Estudios Radiológicos " organized by @helengutier2 in Healthy Steem.
Radiology, also known as diagnostic imaging, is a series of tests that take pictures of body parts.
The most common ones include X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, CT scans, and PET scans.
Why do you think the use of radiological exams is important?
The use of radiological exams is very important because the radiologist looks at the results of a particular test and extracts relevant images that evaluate and support a diagnosis.
Every area of the health care sector depends on radiology such as oncology, emergency medicine, trauma response, infectious diseases, etc.
Early diagnosis can save lives in many cases such as cancer.
Family doctors and emergency care physicians cannot manage patients effectively without diagnostic imaging.
This is why they rely on radiology to determine the correct diagnosis and course of treatment.
Radiology is used for a wide range of conditions and is classified based on the type of radiology and the exact imaging test used. Different imaging exams include:
Radiographs:
X-rays to look at the bones of the chest or abdomen.
CT (Computed Tomography):
CT is a donut-shaped machine that takes multiple X-ray angles of the patient and then creates computer-processed images.
MRI:
MRI uses magnetic fields and radio waves with computer processing to create images.
Mammogram:
Specially regulated X-rays that look at breast tissue.
Ultrasound:
Ultrasound creates dynamic images using sound waves.
Tell me about your experience with radiographic exams. When these types of ancillary exams are necessary.
(These both are my own photo)
Once I had a lump in my breast. I was also experiencing pain in it. When I went to the doctor to see him, he advised me to get mammography. Then I had to get mammography done for the first time.
After mammography, I also had to get FNAC test done.
After that, it was necessary to find out the location of the lumps to give the right treatment. For which X-ray was also done.
Most of the lumps are not cancerous, but still it becomes necessary to get it checked by a doctor.
I also did not have cancer in the lumps in my breast. But still they were removed through surgery. So that these lumps do not pose any further danger.
What are the benefits of these studies?
Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses magic technology for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
These studies have many benefits. The correct disease can be detected through these studies, so that the right treatment can be done to get rid of it.
Diagnostic imaging provides detailed information about structural or pathological changes. Early diagnosis saves lives. There can be no treatment without diagnosis.
I heartily thank @helengutier2 for organizing this informative competition.
Now I invite my friends.

Thank you very much maam for visiting and commenting on my post. 🤗♥️
