What are the common causes of hyperhidrosis, and how do they differ between primary and secondary hyperhidrosis?

A condition which is characterised by the excessive sweating and can affect the quality of life of a person.

It has two types
• Primary hyperhidrosis
• Secondary hyperhidrosis

DIFFERENCE

Primary hyperhidrosisSecondary hyperhidrosis
It is localised and can affect the specific ares like palm, underarms and faceIt is caused due to any underlying medical issues. It can affect the larger areas of the body.
The exact etiology is unknown. But it is beloved that it is caused by overactivity of the sweat glans or in response to the stimulus such as stress and anxietyThe causes of the secondary hyperhidrosis are the changes in the hormones like menopause, infection due to some medicines and also DM+ .
Individuals who are facing with this condition often experience symptoms form their childhood and it can occur in the environment even cool or during rest.The primary hyperhidrosis occurs from the childhood but the secondary school can occur at any ageaba
How does hyperhidrosis affect the daily lives of those who experience it?

Indeed, it can affect the activities of daily living for those individuals who are facing this condition. It affects the social and personal interactions. People with this condition feel embarrassed while interacting others due to over sweating because it can lead to the infection. It becomes difficulty to manage the activities of daily living while managing sweat cleaning.

Individuals who are experiencing with this condition avoid gatherings like parties and meetings because they feel embarrassment. They avoid to attend such gatherings which can result in the isolation and ultimately it reduces the quality of life.

Some taska require a strong grip but those individuals who are facing the condition of hyperhidrosis cannot perform such tasks and ultimately this condition can affect the productivity and can affect the professional life. In the professional activities such holding papers makes difficult with this sweaty condition and it is very challenging for such individuals.

What treatment options are available for managing hyperhidrosis, and how effective are they?

The first line treatment is the antiperspirant. These block the sweat glands and it is effective only in the mild to moderate cases not in the sever cases.A method named as the iontophoresis is also effective to reduce sweating in this treatment ailf current is passed through the water into the surface of skin to reduce the sweat glands. It is required sessions to treat this condition.

Oral medications are also prescribed which are also effective to reduce the sweating by blocking the sweat glands. It is effective but it also has side effects of the dryness of mouth and problems with the vision.

The Botox injections are also indicated in the treatment of iontophoresis. It is effective for the sweating treatment in the armpits but is expensive.

How can lifestyle changes help individuals cope with hyperhidrosis symptoms?

The individuals who are facing the condition of hyperhidrosis always should avoid tight clothing, they must wear loose and breathable clothes like cotton because this fabric is benifical to reduce the sweating.hygiene.It is very effective to take care of our personal hygiene.To keep our skin clean it will be effective to use the antibacterial soap.

A balanced diet is very important to maintain our health. Those individuals who are facing the condition of hyperhidrosis must avoid such foods and drinks which can aggravate the sweating.

Management of stress is very important because stress can cause sweating because the stress stimuli can alleviate the sweat glands and ultimately resulting in excessive sweating. Yoga and deep breathing exercises can be effective to manage stress.
