"Tell me about your experience at the dentist"
Season greetings to all my fellow steemians colleagues and friends around the world, how are you all doing today? I hope you are fine and healthy as well as having alot of fun and enjoying this beautiful moments of December, by the way I'm @john247 from #Nigeria and it's always my pleasure having you in my blog, which am going to take part in this amazing contest titled; Tell me about your experience at the dentist" organized by @helengutier2.
A dentist is a educated and qualified doctor that diagnosis and treat different kind of oral diseases, injuries and malformation on teeths and gums as well as helping us to prevent them from getting damaged with the help of their treatments and advise we get from them.
In most cases we do visit the dentist sometimes most especially when we are having some tooth, jaw, gum or mouth problem for treatment and oral health condition which am going to share my first experience I remember with the dentist.
Though sometimes I do have some toothache which I normally buy drug from a nearby chemists close to our house for treatment which I will say it usually works perfectly because after taking the drugs the pain will subsides and heals for some days but this time around it wasn't thesame that I even have to buy the second dose still yet it seems the pain was increasing the more I take the drugs, so I decided to visit the dentist for proper check up and treatment.

When I got to the dental hospital the next day the first person I met was the the receptionist who ask me what am I here for I responded by saying that I came to see the dentist she then offered me chair to sit down because the dentist is busy with another patient and I cannot see her immediately unless she is done then I can go and see her, so I waited about half an hour but she wasn't done yet I thinking of going home back but due to the pain I encounter while chewing solid or hard food gives me enough reason to stay back and wait for her, luckily for me she receptionist called me not quite long that I can go and see her that she is done, when I enter her office first of all I greeted her and she ask me my problem which I told her exactly what was wrong with me and how it's affecting me badly then dentist observed and check my teeth and she discovered that some of my teeth had holes which has been the main reason why it causing me pain, she asked me how long have I been experiencing this pain I told her for some weeks now and she was like what stops you from seeing a dentist and I told her I was taking drugs that's why I didn't come on time when she ask me who prescribed the drugs for me I told it was a pharmacist working at a chemist that prescribed it for me and she like not that am against you seeing the pharmacist but it better you see the dentist when he or she prescribed the drugs you can go get in the chemist instead buying drugs which are not well prescribed that it might sometimes cause more damage or pain to the one that already exist but nevertheless she washed and applied some liquid medicines on the affected areas then prescribed drugs for me which after some days I started feeling okay with the help of the drugs she prescribed.
Conclusion
Drugs are very helpful and supportive to our body most especially to the sick and unhealthy ones, on the other way round it can be harmful to our body if we abuse it by taking drugs that are not well prescribed, just like the dentist told me that it might sometimes cause more damage or pain to the one that already exist so always see a doctor if you feel that you have a health issues before buying or taking any drugs, and always remember seek urgent medical help for someone who have been dangerously affected by drugs.
