Assalam O Alaikum.
Hello my steemit friends I am thrilled to participate in this contest about salivary glands. As a third-semester cardiology student i am always eager to learn more about the amazing human body. Understanding the salivary glands their functions and related conditions is important for both students and health enthusiasts. In this post i will explained these concepts in simple words.

Saliva keeps the mouths moist which is essentially for clear speech and enhances the taste of food by dissolving its particles.
What are the elements that make up saliva and what is the route from its production to the oral cavity.
Saliva is made up of several components. It is mostly water abouts 98% which keeps the mouths hydrated it also contains enzymes like amylases and lipase for digestion antibacterial enzymes such as lysozyme and electrolytes like sodium potassium and calcium. The production of salivas starts in the salivary glands it flows throughs tiny tubes called ducts which carrys the saliva to the oral cavitys where it performs its various functions.
What pathologies can occur in the salivary glands?
