Bangkok Tree-Top Sky Walk Offers Park Vistas

Hey nature and outdoor friends!

A few days back, I briefly visited a park here in Bangkok that wowed me. Today I returned to fully explore its highlights - specifically the large lake and a raised wooded walkway offering epic views. I'm happy to report mission accomplished on both fronts!

Arriving at golden hour, I headed straight for the lengthy trail suspended above the tree line. Winding gradually upward into the canopy, the narrow path provided stellar scenery. As the sun dipped behind highrises, the sky ignited in vibrant orange and fuchsia.

Families and joggers shared the scenic route around me, stopping sporadically to snap photos from cutouts in the guardrails. The long straightaway allowed views across the entire park, including the glimmering water body I'd also come to admire. From my bird's eye perspective, visitors circling the lake shore looked like ants!

The elevated trail required nearly an hour to complete with a few optional side ramps allowing shortcuts down. But after sunset elapsed, the lighting remained ideal for city backdrops. I even asked a friendly passerby to take my photo for the full vista effect!

By the time I descended to ground level, dusk had arrived but I now knew exactly where to pick up the lakeside path for next time! I'll be sure to share pics of waterfront delights soon too now that I've knocked off both park goals. Let me know if you have favorite spots offering aerial-like immersion in nature while still inside city limits!

I think it is really awesome when primarily "urban" areas make an effort to create / do things which encourages people to get outdoors. We need so much more of that in the world at large! Apart from the fresh air and awesome views - the simple act of walking (and not on a treadmill, lol - though that has its own set of benefits too), is such good food for the soul!

This walk looks like a really beautiful one - and quite long! Do you have any idea what the full distance is?

Some years back our local botanical gardens also built a "tree top canopy walk" - though substantially smaller/shorter than this one... it is still quite something to stand up there and over look the gardens and parts of the city.

Not my pics :) Thanks Google.

Wow, that looks like such an amazing place!! I want to go visit it.

I think the full walk may be one mile... .but surely not more then that.

If you go BKK, I recommend checking it out, just go at Sunset as in the afternoon I think it would be VERY hot.

I would love to!!! And yes - walks at sunset!! We are familiar with that approach here too. In Summer if you go walking any other time you will literally just melt lol!
